Pitch Report
Nikhil Uttamchandani and Carlos Brathwaite: It looks a barren pitch. The grass cover is a lot less on this surface. But batting will continue to be slightly challenging and require skill.

Time for the Bangladesh players to pose with the trophy. What a historic result for the Bangladesh boys and they should go back home very proud of their performance. This also brings us to the end of our coverage for this encounter. Like always it was a pleasure bringing all the live coverage from this encounter. Up until the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Bidipto Datta. Bye!
Litton Das (Bangladesh captain): If you see, we played really well in Tests and ODIs. Unfortunately we didn't win any games but we played well. It was all about enjoying the game. We know that we have a good all-round unit. I mean, he never gave any pressure. We feel free to play cricket. All the coaching staff and management did really well and gave us the freedom. We are improving day by day. This wicket was pretty good to bat on. The way our bowlers showed character was great. A big credit to the bowling unit. Whenever we play again, we have to come back strongly and dominate.
Rovman Powell (West Indies captain): I think in the middle overs we bowled pretty well but we didn't bowl well in the powerplay and the death. We kept losing wickets in the powerplay. It has happened to us in the last 8 games and we need to rectify them now. As a T20 group, we won't be joining together till mid-2025 and hopefully the little mistakes will be rectified. Bangladesh deserves all the credit especially after a poor ODI series. We started off by taking the team to the 4th position but it's sad to see the team falling away in the last few series. A merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone in the Caribbean.
Mahedi Hasan (Player of the Series, 8 wickets in 3 matches): During the World Cup, we had lots of options and so, I didn't play that much. This time, my own preparation was good and got the opportunity. I like bowling on these types of wickets. Accuracy in wicket-to-wicket bowling was key. I know a bit about Nicholas Pooran's tactics, so, I stuck to my guns and that worked against him. The body language of our players in this series was really up to the mark.
Jaker Ali Anik (Player of the Match, 72* off 41 balls): It has been a wonderful tour for me! Today, the wicket was better to bat on. So I decided to take it deep and then go hard. Two run-outs in one over, both involving me, made me feel bad. But thankfully, I could make up for their runs later on. I didn't play well here in the World Cup but I made it a point to make amends in this series.
It is time for the post-match presentation!

Bangladesh won by 80 runs

Bangladesh went onto register a convincing victory in the third and the final T20I against West Indies by 80 runs to end up whitewashing the hosts 3-0 in the series. They were by far the best team in the series and the performance in this particular game was just a reflection of how good they have been in the series. The target of 190 was always going to be a steepler for West Indies and the Bangladesh bowlers came out all guns blazing.
Taskin Ahmed trapped Brandon King right in front of the stumps on the second delivery of the run chase while Mahedi Hasan sent back the debutant Justin Greaves in the second over. The pair of Johnson Charles and Nicholas Pooran brought West Indies back in the game. Both batters started getting into their elements and struck some impressive strokes in the process.
It was the final powerplay over bowled by Mahedi Hasan which saw the departure of the danger man Nicholas Pooran. Hasan Mahmud then prized out Roston Chase before Johnson Charles was caught napping and was eventually run out at a crucial juncture of the game. At 46/5, West Indies saw standing down the barrel when Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd joined hands.
Powell was deceived by a leg break by Rishad Hossain and it looked like West Indies were playing for a lost cause. Romario Shepherd did go down fighting, smashing a four and three sixes during his knock of 33. However he kept losing his partners at the other end. Gudakesh Motie who looked like the partner who will give support to Shepherd was dismissed in the 15th over by Rishad Hossain and there was no looking back from there on.
Alzarri Joseph then punched one straight to the extra cover fielder. Bangladesh dig the final nail in the coffin with the wicket of Shepherd in the 16th over. It was Taskin Ahmed who eventually finished off the match by casting Obed McCoy. Taskin and Mahedi Hasan were the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh, bagging a couple of wickets each. Don't go anywhere, we will be back with the presentations very shortly.
What a massive win for Bangladesh. They win by 80 runs and have registered their first ever 3-0 series victory over West Indies in the T20I format. Bangladesh have finally managed to realise their potential in the T20 format. The coaching staff and the players sill be very proud of how they have performed in the series so far.
16.4 Taskin Ahmed to Obed McCoy, round the wicket, AND THE CLEAN SWEEP IS COMPLETE! Full and straight, you miss, I hit! McCoy swung to the rafters across the line by backing away and missed. The ball clattered into the stumps after that to end the match!
Obed McCoy b Taskin Ahmed 4 (6b, 1x4, 0x6)
16.3 Taskin Ahmed to Obed McCoy, back of a length over off-stump. A swing and a miss across the line on the backfoot. No run.
16.2 Taskin Ahmed to Obed McCoy, full and slow around off-stump. A big heave across the line from the crease and a miss. Good take by Litton too!
Taskin Ahmed [3-0-26-1] is back into the attack.
16.1 Taskin Ahmed to Obed McCoy, over the wicket, FOUR! Low full toss on off-stump. Drilled down the ground to the left of mid-off by backing away.
Bangladesh just one wicket away from registering a 3-0 win over West Indies for the first time in a T20I series. The final hope for West Indies succumbed to the pressure and ended up top edging a slower delivery into the surface down the throat of the short third man fielder.

15.6 Tanzim Sakib to Jayden Seales, back of a length around off-stump. Seales tries to hammer it over mid-wicket off the back foot but fails to make any contact. No run.
15.5 Tanzim Sakib to Jayden Seales, EDGED FOR FOUR! Short around off-stump. The pull shot on the back foot results in a top edge over the keeper's left for a boundary!
Jayden Seales, LHB comes out to the crease.
Tanzim was having a tough day, but he will be pretty happy to get the wicket of the danger man, Romario Shepherd. With his wicket, all the hopes for the home team came crushing down.
15.4 Tanzim Sakib to Romario Shepherd, SHEPHERD GOES NOW! WEST INDIES NINE DOWN! Slower-ball bouncer outside off-stump. Shepherd pulled it over his right shoulder and got a top edge. Hasan kept his eyes on the ball, turned around to his left and completed an excellent catch!
