Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh captain): Happy and relieved to get through this first round! We knew that we didn't get as many runs as we would have liked, but our bowlers kept hitting the right lengths and posed a massive threat to the opposition batters. Our fast bowlers have worked really hard for a couple of years and the results are showing. We are looking forward to the Super-8s now and are well prepared I feel!

Rohit Kumar Paudel (Nepal captain): I think we bowled really well but as a batting unit, the top-order could have been technically tighter. But the new-ball bowling I thought from Bangladesh was brilliant! They asked challenging questions to us in the power play. We need to step up as a batting line-up. We have to understand how and where to score runs, going forward. This team has great potential, with more exposure and experience, we should only get better. We've disappointed our fans, we thought we could win some games here, but it's not to be. Still, the support has been great!

Tanzim Hasan Sakib is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: We just wanted to keep things simple and bowl in the hood areas. We didn't panic and we managed to win it. I will say absolutely beautiful performance from all the bowlers. Mustafiz bhai bowled a maiden wicket, Rishad, Taskin everyone bowled well which is why we defended the score. I was aggressive and tried to execute my plans. We are very excited to play super eights. We are very confident and hopefully we will do well. Yes absolutely, spin bowling was turning so it wasn't easy to bat. We held our line and lengths and it worked perfectly.

This is the lowest ever score defended in men's T20 World Cups! Bangladesh just love playing on this ground, don't they? Nepal could afford only three scores in double digits and even a decent enough 50-partnership was not to be for them.

It all began with Tanzim Sakib's superb spell up front which went for only 7 runs! He bowled with pace and swing, and picked up as many as 4 wickets with two maiden overs in it.

Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain and Shakib Al Hasan were all just too good for this Nepali batting line-up! The only positive for Nepal was the 50-run stand for the 6th wicket between Kushal Malla and Dipendra Singh Airee. Otherwise, it is a sorry-looking scorecard.

The ball did talk quite a lot on this surface, as expected, but there is still a way to play it. There is where Nepal came second by some margin against a full member team.

So, with this victory, Bangladesh become the fourth and final team to qualify for the Super-8s! They are grouped alongside India, Australia and Afghanistan.

That was a slowish good-length delivery around the middle stump channel, Bohara gets inside the line of the ball and tries to work it away towards the on side. Gets beaten and is struck on the front pad.

No bat involved as confirmed by ultra-edge, off to ball tracking now and its three reds. Bangladesh have completed a resounding 21 run victory in the end and joins India, Australia and Afghanistan in the Super eights.
