What a brilliant game this turned out to be in the end, Pakhtoom Zalmi needed get off to a brisk start and which is exactly what they did. Izhar hits three sixes off the opening over and that was a grand start to the run chase as they clobbered 20 of it.

From then on, the Zurich Lions were always under pressure. Hamdard came in and kept clobbering the bowlers to all parts of the ground. He notches up a quick fire 50 off just 19 balls and that set the tone for this win. Zurich Lions thought they can come back into the contest as they picked up two quick wickets.

Hamad Khan who came in later, clobbered a couple of crucial blows and that pretty much dented the chances of Lions winning their first game. Lions needed to restrict Zalmi as they needed 11 of the final over. But Izhar Hussain who has been sensational throughout hit another six which almost sealed the game and Bashir hits the winning runs.

Zurich Lions still searching for that elusive first win of the tournament, in both the games they put up a show but just not able to cross the line just yet. Pakhtoon Zalmi will be mighty pleased with this effort as they notch up a win straight away.
