WWE NXT Heatwave Live Results (July 7th, 2024): TNA invasion incoming? New world champion crowned, shocking conclusion!

FULL RESULTS FOR WWE NXT HEATWAVE (JULY 7, 2024).
KARMEN PETROVIC and ARIANNA GRACE defeat Jacy Jayne and Jazmny Nyx by pin.
OBA FEMI defeats Wes Lee by pin.
KELANI JORDAN defeats Sol Ruca by pin.
AXIOM AND NATHAN FRAZER defeat Chase University (Duke Hudson/Andre Chase) by pin.
ROXANNE PEREZ defeats Lola Vice by pin.
ETHAN PAGE defeats Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Shawn Spears by pin.

Trick is apoplectic on the outside after the loss while Page celebrates with the title. After the show cuts off, we get the opening shot of Joe Hendry's entrance video from TNA!

Evans bounces off the announce table. Page loses it in the ring. He goes for the Ego's Edge, but Spears pulls Evans down. Trick hits Evans and Page with the Trick Shot Knee strike, but Page falls on top of Evans. Spears holds Trick's leg so he can't break up the pin, and Page gets the win!!!!
Result - Ethan Page defeats Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears by pin.

Page goes to the top, but Spears meets him with some chops on the chest. Trick tries to powerbomb Spears, but Spears pulls him over the top. Evans hits a Spanish Fly off the top, followed by a springboard cutter, but Trick breaks up the pin. Evans and Williams trade words before punching each other in the middle of the ring.

Trick clears off the announcer's table, and maybe it will finally break. He sends Page into the ring post, but Evans hits a Tope Con Giro on Trick over the corner and through the timekeeper's barricade.
Spears climbs up to the top, and Evans tries to stop him. Spears lands the C4 off the top, but Page tosses him out of the ring and tries to steal the pin. Evans kicks out.

Evans kicks Spears, but they all trade Superkicks until Trick hits Page with a running Blockbuster.

Spears places the chair in the corner for a rolling C4, but Trick pulls Evans off Spears' shoulders. Trick gets hit with the move instead, and Shawn gets two.

Page suplexes Evans on top of Spears. He pulls Evans on top of Spears and Trick before hitting a power slam for a near fall. All Ego goes to the top rope. Evans sits on Trick's shoulders, and Page hits a shoulder block off the top. Trick and Page go for pins at the same time. Spears grabs another chair and blasts everyone with it. The crowd loves it.

Spears comes in with a chair since there are no DQs in a four-way. Trick hits Page with a Lariat and Spears with a kick. He pancakes both Canadians while Evans lands a crossbody on them. Trick then hits a Uranage for two.

The crowd keeps chanting "10" in reference to Spears' Perfect 10 gimmick. They shake hands but then poke each other in the eyes. All four men get involved in a sequence, but Trick misses his part on Page. Evans gets a one-count. Evans hits a hurricanrana for a near fall. Trick responds with a clothesline and bodyslam to Evans.

Page immediately gets out of the ring after the bell rings. Evans blasts him with a Suicide Dive. Trick bodyslams Spears in the ring but then clotheslines him out of it. Page nearly knocks Evans out with a big punch to the mug. Page and Spears then one-up each other by slamming Trick and Evans into hard ring spots like the steel steps.

Main event time as Trick Williams defends the NXT title against Je'Von Evans, Shawn Spears, and Ethan Page. Trick looks like he has some flames on his trunks, hopefully in an homage to Booker T and Harlem Heat. Booker goes nuts every time Trick comes out, so Trick owes him.

Je'Von is main eventing a Premium Live Event just three months into his NXT career.

Announced for Tuesday's show are Karmen Petrovic vs. Arianna Grace and Tony D'Angelo defending the Heritage Cup, basil, and vegetables against Lexis King.

The Champs send Vice out of the ring for more carnage. She clears off the announcer's table before yelling that Vice will never be Champion. She hits Pop Rox on the table, but it doesn't give. Vice kicks out, and Perez locks in the Corssface. Perez hits Pop Rox three more times to pick up the win.
Result - Roxanne Perez defeats Lola Vice by pin.

One of the Pop Rox's was a botch and didn't hit right.

Vice loses it and throws down some punches. The ref pulls her off, which seems like it should be a DQ. Roxy works on Lola's hand, sending her into the ringpost hand-first. Perez hits a kick, but Vice counters out of Pop Rox to land a series of kicks. Roxy blocks the backfist and hits Pop Rox, but Vice kicks out at two.

Roxy stands on Lola's hand and mocks Lola by doing her dance with the arm trapped. Roxy hits a Saito Suplex on Vice, but Perez misses a springboard moonsault. Vice tries a Triangle Choke, but Roxanne breaks it. She tries her own spinning backfist, but Vice counters and blasts The Champ with her backfist.
Roxy rolls out of the ring. Vice chases her and puts her back in the ring. Roxy breaks the pin by getting her foot on the bottom rope.

Perez hits a Northern Lights Suplex with Vice's arm trapped behind her back. She works on Vice's shoulder before pulling it back like Pentagon Jr.

Perez dodges a kick in the corner and lands an uppercut to Vice's back. Vice locks in a choke, but Perez breaks it with a pin counter. She locks in a rear-naked choke, but Roxy rolls out of the ring to break it.
Vice doesn't let go. Roxy does so by slamming Vice into the announce table back-first. She then ducks when Vice goes for a spinning back fist. Vice blasts her hand against the ring post.

Roxy tries the same combo, but Vice knees her in the gut to prevent it. She goes for a pin, but Roxy gets up. Vice hits a few kicks before using Naomi's old constant kicks. She does her "I'm a Latina" taunt before landing a hip strike in the corner. Vice hits an Axe Kick to Roxy's back for two.

Perez gains control after they re-enter the ring. She works on Lola's knee before slamming her face into the middle buckle a few times. Lola gets a near fall, but Perez quickly regains control. She hits a side leg sweep for two.

Roxy slaps Lola Vice off the bat. Vice pushes her down. Vice makes a quick counter into an armbar, but Roxanne Perez quickly breaks it up. The crowd is split between the women. Vice goes for her spinning back fist, but Perez senses it and ducks out of the ring.

The Great American Bash is the next big event for NXT on August 6 on SyFy. It will be booted off of the USA Network due to the Olympics.

Axiom counters out of a move and tags Frazer in. Frazer hits a Superplex and Brainbuster before hitting Duke with Tope Con Giro on the outside. Axiom hits the Golden Ratio Kick on Mr. Chase to pick up a hard-fought win.

Backstage, they tried to interview Wes Lee, but he was clearly distraught and upset.

Axiom and Chase tag in for their teams. They trade strikes, but a miscommunication causes Frazer to kick Axiom accidentally twice. Duke shoves Frazer out of the ring and Chase rolls Axiom up for a close call. Frazer dropkicks Duke into the ring post as Chase goes for the Chase U Stomp in the ring. Chase hits a Crossbody off the top, but Nathan breaks it up.

Duke places Frazer atop the buckle before tagging Mr. Chase in. Duke quickly tags back in. Frazer hits a shotgun dropkick on Duke before tagging Axiom in. Axiom hits a Spanish Fly off the top on Duke, and Frazer hits a Phoenix Splash. Chase breaks up the pin with a Canadian Destroyer off Frazer's back.

"This is awesome' chants, and the crowd is going crazy.

Axiom hits a Frog Splash, and Frazer adds a 450 Splash, but Duke kicks out. Duke kicks Axiom off a move. The big man pulls Frazer off the top with head scissors. He hits a big Uragange, but Frazer kicks out.

Duke drops both of the Champs with a clothesline. Duke hits Axiom with a Uranage and then Frazer with a toss. He adds a Gutbuster for a two-count. Frazer sends Duke out of the ring with a kick. He lines up for a Suicide Dive, but Duke stops him and hits a German Suplex.
Duke goes for the Razor's Edge, but Frazer counters to send Duke into the middle buckle head-first. Axiom tags in and sends Duke to the outside. The Champs hits Suicide Dives on the challengers.

Axiom suplexes Chase, and both he and Frazer hit Chase with a Superkick at the same time. Frazer goes for a move off the ropes, but Mr. Chase catches him and hits a uranage. He goes for a tag, but Axiom prevents it from happening. He locks in an armbar on Chase.
Chase goes for an Enzuguiri, but Axiom catches it and puts Chase in a kneebar submission. Chase sends Axiom into his corner, and he tags Nathan in. Chase tags the big man in.

Frazer makes the tag to Chase. They hit Chase with a DDT for a near fall. Axiom clubs Chase in the back of the head for a two-count. Booker calls the strike "illegal" like it's MMA or boxing.

The pants that Andre Chase is wearing make him look like a Mountie instead of a professor. Axiom and Chase trade counters and pin attempts. Frazer tags in and hits an Enzuguiri. It sends Chase to his corner, and Duke tags in. He tosses Frazer with a belly-to-belly throw.

Up next is Chase University challenging Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Title. Riley Osborne and Thea Hail accompany Duke and Mr. Chase. This could be the first time a tag title changes hands at a Heatwave event since ECW in 1999.

Ava meets with Karmen and Arianna to congratulate them. Grace takes all the credit and says it's better if she doesn't have an anchor holding her down. Ava then books them to fight each other on Tuesday. Grace says it's rude to pit two tag team partners against each other.

Plus, Gallus threatens Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont.

Jordan helps Sol up after the match, and the two hold each other's arms in the middle of the ring.

Ruca puts Jordan on the top, but Kelani shrugs her off. Jordan goes for a 450 Splash, but Ruca gets her knees up. She runs to the corner for the Sol Snatcher, but Kelani pulls her down and gets a near fall.
Jordan goes for another Poison Rana but she counters into an Alabama Slam into the buckle. Ruca climbs the ropes with Jordan on her shoulders but gets blasted with a Super Poisonrana. Kelani hits the split-legged moonsault to pick up the win.

Result - Kelani Jordan defeats Sol Ruca by pin.

With both women on the outside, the ref counts to 9 before they get back into the ring. Sol bodyslams Kelani, but she holds on and counters into a pin. They trade pin attempts until Sol hits a weird-looking powerbomb for two.

The two exchange forearms. Jordan hits a kick and a Poisonrana to send Ruca out of the ring. The Champ hits Ruca with a Springboard Moonsault. Ruca kicks Kelani from the apron before landing a Moonsault of her own. The crowd is chanting "holy s*it" after that one!

Joran hits a hip toss and Hurricanrana before landing a corkscrew Pescado on the outside. Jordan hits a facebuster for two. Ruca hits a Superkick and two springboard moves. Sol then hits a 450 springboard clothesline. That was an impressive move.

Both women showcase their acrobatic skills with flips and cartwheels. Jordan barely hits a crossbody. Sol hits a facebuster for two. The action surprisingly hits the mat when Sol wraps Kelani up like a pretzel. She puts her on a Surfboard next.
