WWE NXT Live Results (July 23rd, 2024): FORMER CHAMPS win CRAZY six-man main event ahead of the Great American Bash!

A big win like that will surely lead to a tag team title match at the Great American Bash.

FULL RESULTS FOR WWE NXT (JULY 23rd, 2024).
BROOKS JENSEN defeats Josh Briggs by pin.
EDDY THORPE defeats Lexis King by pin.
ORO MENSAH defeats Ashante Adonis by pin.
WREN SINCLAIR defeats Carlee Bright by pin.
TRICK WILLIAMS defeats Cedric Alexander by pin.
LASH LEGEND and JAKARA JACKSON defeat Sol Ruca and Karmen Petrovic by pin.
THE RASCALZ (WES LEE, ZACHARY WENTZ, AND TREY MIGUEL defeat Axiom, Nathan Frazer, and Je'Von Evans by pin.

Both sides shake hands in a sign of respect after an awesome main event. We then go backstage to Ava's office. He demands a match with Oro Mensah, agreeing to put his title on the line to end this situation. Ava says she'll have a contract ready for next week's show and the match will happen on Night 2 of the Great American Bash.

The combatants exchange kicks. Wentz hits a cutter on Evans, leaving Axiom and Miguel in the ring. The Rascalz hit two stomps on Axiom. Miguel prevents Frazer and Evans from getting back in, allowing Wentz and Lee to hit their MSK finisher (the push-assisted standing Moonsault) on Axiom for the win.
Result - The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Try Miguel, and Zachary Wentz) defeat Nathan Frazer, Axiom, and Je'Von Evans by pin.

Evans hits a few kicks on Wentz and then a springboard kick on Lee as he rushes in. Miguel flips off the top rope but Evans catches him with a big cutter. Evans tags the Champs in. Axiom hits the Spanish Fly followed by a Phoenix Splash from Frazer but the Rasclaz break up the pin.

Wentz sends Axiom into Evans in their corner. Frazer tags in but is blasted with a big knee. Wentz makes the tag to Lee and Evans tags in. Lee works on the Young OG with a series of strikes highlighted by a kick to the back of the head. Lee makes a quick tag to Miguel. They fend off an attack from Axiom but Evans makes the tag to Frazer. Miguel hits a flip and a kick to neutralize Baby Rollins. The Rascalz hit their trio kick on Frazer for a near fall.

Evans catches Wentz off a crossbody. He bodyslams him before making the tag to Frazer. Frazer hits a standing Shooting Star Press for two. Axiom tags in. He keeps WEntz in control with a headlock. All three teammates hit a Superkick on Wentz and Evans gets a two-count.

Lee and Evans trade strikes to slow things down. Lee hits a Roundhouse Kick to get control for the Rascalz. Wentz hits a Bronco Buster. He keeps riding it as Miguel and Lee fend off the Champs. Axiom kicks Miguel, sending him to the outside. Evans hits a flying crossbody on everyone on the outside. Wentz follows suit with a springboard moonsault.

Trey Miguel starts out with Axiom. Axiom gets the first shot with a dropkick. He tags Frazer in and Frazer runs the ropes three times before hitting a kick to Trey's head. Wentz hits a blind tag and the Rascalz all follow suit to take control of the match. Lee is left as Evans tags in. They trade flips and counters until Evans hits a Hurricanrana and dropkick.

After a backstage segment where the Family talked up Heights' legit wrestling credentials, Tony D'Angelo will also defend the Heritage Cup against Tavion Heights next week.

The Unholy Union will defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles next week against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson at the Great American Bash. Joe Hendry will also perform at one of his patented concerts. Thea Hail will challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title.

I guess you only need one win to get a shot at the WWE Women's Tag titles.

Up next is six-man tag team action that is sure to be bonkers as the Rascalz face Je'Von Evans, Nathan Frazer, and Axiom.

The fans chant 'YOU GOT PINNED' at Page. The ref says it wasn't a legitimate match, so the count doesn't matter. Oro rushes the ring and rolls Page up again for a three-count that doesn't count. Again.

Gallus is leaving the building, and Joe Coffey challenges Joe Hendry to a one-on-one match next week. They then find several flyers on cars in the parking lot. Ethan Page is still trying to say he wasn't bothered getting pinned outside of the competition last week. He finds a ref who says it wasn't an official match, so it doesn't matter. He then hits the ring to say, 'What Oro did to me last week doesn't count' and that it 'doesn't bother' him.

Hendry recalls that he's been wrestling for 10 years and that his meteoric rise hasn't happened overnight. He reveals that the NXT Universe will get one of his patented concerts on the first night of the Great American Bash. During Hendry's story, they show footage of TNA when Hendry fought Moose and Josh Alexander at Slammiversary.

Lash and Jakara want a tag title shot next week at the Great American Bash. Vic then recounts Joe Hendry showing up on last week's show.

We cut backstage and Trick is politicking for a title match with HBK. Roxanne Perez then storms in to spout about the lack of respect for her since she didn't get a sit-down interview like Thea.

Jakara breaks up a pin. Sol hits a standing moonsault off the apron. Lash decks Petrovic with a strike before hitting a Gory Bomb variant for the win.
Result - Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson defeat Sol Ruca and Karmen Petrovic by pin.

Sol and Jakara start off for their teams. Jakara hits a move and quickly tags Lash in. Sol gets a Sunset Flip but Lash kicks out. Booker T says that Lash has been dominant lately. She's had like one match that I can remember. Sol jumps for another move but Lash kicks her in mid-air. Jakara hits a splash and another hair-pull move before tagging Lash back in. Lash goes for a move on Sol but Sol counters into another pin attempt. Karmen hits Lash with a kick. Both women kick Jakara before Karmen kicks Lash.

Backstage, Kelani Jordan is talking to two random ladies backstage. They're watching footage of Tatum Paxley playing with her new 'doll.' Wendy Choo walks by as Kelani leaves. Ashante Adonis stumbles in and the two random ladies help him walk to the trainer's office. He smiles into the camera as if he's not really hurt.

Backstage, Mr. Stone and Stevie Turner are arguing in front of Ethan Page. Stone keeps stumbling over his words by mentioning Oro Mensah. Stone says he'll talk to Ava and take care of it. Up next is Sol Ruca and Karmen Petrovic taking on Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson.

Trick shakes Cedric's hand before leaving the ring. Pete Dunne then rushes down to attack Trick from behind.

Cedric goes for a move but gets caught in a Uranage. Cedric rolls Trick up off the Trick Shot attempt. He hits a Brainbuster for a near fall but counters right into an armbar. Both men recover in opposite corners. Trick lands the Trick Shot knee for the win.
Result - Trick Williams defeats Cedric Alexander by pin.

Trick hits a pop-up uppercut but Cedric responds with some strikes and a kick. Trick hits a pancake and a spinning kick for a two-count. Cedric counters Trick's finisher and hits a Michinoku Driver for two. Trick hits two sidekicks and a leaping Lariat.

The two men trade strikes and the patented "kick each other at the same time" to level the playing field.

Alexander takes control of Trick early on but Trick fights back. The men trade chops. A spot of miscommunication leads to a weird pin from Cedric. Trick hits a dropkick and Alexander responds with a handspring kick. He then drops Trick on the ring apron twice.

Trick takes on Cedric Alexander next.

Hail says winning the title would be for Chase U and not for just her. It would be a win for people who are overlooked. Thea Hail will challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title next week.

Chase University is basking in Duke's loss last week. Andre Chase says that Thea Hail will bring gold to them. Ridge Holland introduces new Chase U shirts that are black.

Thea Hail sits down for her interview with Kelly Kincaid. She asks how Ridge has helped Chase U and Thea says he's not perfect and he empowers her to be herself. She gains confidence from the confidence they show in her.

Frazer and Axiom are arguing backstage about WWE Speed. Je'Von Evans runs over to offer his services as their tag partner tonight and the Champs happily agree.

Bright hits a crossbody but Wren counters it into a pin for two. Wren hits a facebuster for a near fall. Bright hits a Missile Dropkick off the top and pins Wren. Dempsey puts Wren's leg on the ropes. Kendal Grey runs over angrily and tosses Myles Borne. She's going to join the group. Wren pins Bright and Dempsey holds her down to help her secure the win.
Result - Wren Sinclair defeats Carlee Bright by pin.

The D'Angelo Family watches the match from the arena pulpit as Wren Sinclair battles Carlee Bright. Wren keeps looking to the crew after hitting a move. The ladies trade holds and counters. Bright jumps but Sinclair takes her down mid-air. She locks in a chinlock. Bright counters out.

Backstage, Charlie Dempsey is consulting with Tony D about a ransom letter sent by Wren Sinclair. D'Angelo tells him to deal with and give her what she wants. Dempsey disagrees to the delight of The Family. She says if she doesn't win tonight, NQCC may not like what she does or says.

Mensah grabs the mic and calls Ethan Page out. He then counts to three but the crowd barely counts with him.

Mensah hits a pendulum forearm to Adonis's head. He hits a spinning heel kick in the corner for the win.
Result - Oro Mensah defeats Ashante Adonis by pin.

Adonis takes control of the match and Lash yells loudly at ringside to cheer Oro on. She's so loud, I think they already heard her next week. Mensah hits a flipping kick but gets dropped with a kick from Adonis. Adonis returns fire with a forearm to the back of Oro's head for a near fall. He goes to the top but looks down at Jakara before hitting a move. Oro drops him and hits a springboard kick. He adds an Axe Kick and a Springboard Moonsault. Adonis ducks a kick and blasts Oro with a Spinebuster.

Adonis is wearing suspenders but with the overall part around his waist. What's the point then? Adonis sends Oro to the outside.

Adonis slides out of the ring before the match to flirt with Jakara Jackson but Oro grabs him and tosses him back into the ring.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews about his actions. He says he isn't waiting around for a title shot and no one will stop him. Pete Dunne is stewing in the background and tells Trick to just 'figure it out' before walking out. Up next is Oro Mensah taking on Ashante Adonis.

King attacks Eddy after the match. He sends him into the steel steps and then traps his hand behind them. King blasts the steps with his cane.

The two trade chops and punches right off the bat. King hits Thorpe with a backbreaker. Thorpe fights back with chops all around the ring. Thorpe goes for a DDT but King blocks it and his a Superkick. He blasts Eddy in the back of the head with a forearm before going for the Coronation DDT. Thorpe counters and hits his DDT for the win. Vic says the cringeworthy line "Like a record, he got spun."
Result - Eddy Thorpe defeats Lexis King by pin.

Backstage, Lola Vice, Karmen Petrovic, and Sol Ruca are watching footage from Stephanie Vaquer's debut. They ponder about whether or not the Unholy Union has defended the titles since winning them. Lash and Jakara Jackson come in to say that they're the only team who deserve a shot even though they haven't won anything.
