WWE NXT Live Results (July 2nd, 2024): Fatal Fourway contract signing ends in chaos; HBK invites disgruntled star to meeting next week!

FULL RESULTS FOR WWE NXT FOR JULY 2ND, 2024.
JAIDA PARKER defeats Michin by pin.
NEW CATCH REPUBLIC defeats Hank Walker and Tank Ledger by pin.
IZZI DAME defeats Brinley Reece by pin.
ORO MENSAH defeats Myles Borne by pin.
WENDY CHOO defeats Carlee Bright by submission.
JAZMYN NYX defeats Karmen Petrovic by pin.

Spears then asks Trick if he heard what Evans said (he's walking out of Heatwave with the belt). He then says that both he and Spears have defeated Evans in matches before. Things get physical after Evans and Spears exchange some insults. Trick puts Page through a table while Evnas does the same to Spears. Evans then stares at the title until Trick grabs it.

Spears equates Evans to the pro sports team that makes it to the Super Bowl or NBA Finals or World Series but has no choice. Evans says everyone is holding his age against him before admitting that he is nervous but excited. Evans then asks Spears how much experience he has holding the NXT title.

Trick says his back is always against the wall but always comes through. He admits what no one would probably admit - he has less experience than anyone else to hold the title. Shawn Spears cuts him off. He likes the emotion because it's the emotional nature that got Trick pinned last week. He says Je'Von is just 'happy to be here' until Evans picks up the mic. He reminds him that this is Evans' first PLE.

Trick opens by saying he's gonna win at Heatwave. Page says that Trick will bring the same energy no matter the amount of opponents. He also says Trick is probably the hottest thing in WWE right now, but that swagger he's seeing is the same he saw at Battleground. Page reminds him that Trick can't treat this match like he did their one-on-one match at Battleground. He says he doesn't have to beat Trick to take the title.

The 'contract signing' closes out the night. The competitors are in the ring but Ava isn't for some reason. Shouldn't she be emceeing this?

Sol Ruca cuts a pre-taped promo about her gymnastics career or how she taught herself moves at the beach.

After the match, Karmen Petrovic rushes to Ava to ask for a tag match against Jacy and Jazmyn. Ava says she's already talked to her 'friend' and they're both mad about how they were treated by the mean girls. Karmen thinks that Nattie spoke to Ava, but it was Arianna Grace. Grace is happy that they'll be able to compete in their hometown of Toronto. She then calls Petrovic her "Princess." Good stuff.

You know you're doing something right if you get the attention of HBK . . .

Backstage, Nathan Frazer and Axiom are arguing again. Frazer is more worried about his match with Xavier Woods on Speed first. Axiom is concerned that he's not focusing on their title defense against Chase University on Sunday.

Nyx hits a neckbreaker and a penalty kick to Petrovic's chest for a near fall. Nyx locks Karmen in a headscissors on the mat. The screen cuts to Fallon Henley watching backstage and giving the performance a golf clap. Karmen counters into a pinning combo for two. She hits a few kicks and a facebuster to regain momentum. She hits Natalya's Pendulum Lariat followed by a series of kicks. She lines Nyx up for a kick but Jacy tries to grab her foot. Petrovic stomps on it and Nyx hits a Pele Kick for the upset win.
Result - Jazmny Nyx defeats Karmen Petrovic by pin.

Nyx gets frustrated after Karmen counters her first kick attempt. Petrovic trips her and locks in a headlock. Nyx tries to reverse the hold but Karmen counters out. She holds back on a big kick, allowing Nyx to recover. Petrovic lands a Blockbuster off the rope but Jacy Jayne gets on the apron to distract her. Vic and Booker argue as to why Jacy is out for the match.

Vic and Booker T address the 'disturbances' caused over the last few months by Brooks Jensen. HBK addresses his actions after breaking from Josh Briggs. He says they asked him to take a sabbatical to get himself together. HBK says he's a part of the family, which is why they haven't let him go. He also invites Brooks Jensen to NXT next week to meet with him and Ava to discuss his future.

Up next is Jazmyn Nyx taking on Karmen Petrovic.

Choo sets Carlee up in the Tree of Woe, landing a dropkick to Bright's midsection. She gets a near fall. Bright fights back with some offense, including a unique kick in the corner. She goes for a standing moonsault but Choo gets her knees up. She blasts Bright with a big clothesline before locking in a Million Dollar Dream-type submission for the win.
Result - Wendy Choo defeats Carlee Bright by submission.

Bright rushes Choo but Choo quickly pushes her off. Choo grabs Bright's arm. Carlee tries to roll Wendy up. Choo kicks Bright off of her and hits a short Flatliner. She then chokes Bright in the ropes. She then twists Bright's neck with her feet. Choo adds an axe kick and a headbutt.

Carlee Bright takes on Dark Wendy Choo next. Bright comes out with Kendal Grey. Choo's sleep mask says "dead inside' on it. That's nice.

Backstage, Malik and Edris are trying to cheer Brinley up after her loss to Izzi Dame. She says her cheeriness isn't working and that maybe they shouldn't be hanging out. The OC then grabs the camera to challenge OTM to a match next week.

As Vic and Booker are hyping up Femi vs. Lee, we cut backstage to see Gallus brawling with Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont. Refs try to break it up.

Wes Lee and Oba Femi cut pre-taped promos ahead of their North American Championship match at Heatwave. Lee rehashes his storied history with the belt. Femi doubts Lee's chances and touts his own dominance. He reminds everyone that if Lee loses at Heatwave, it's the last shot he'll get at the North American title as long as he holds it.

Oro yells that he is coming for Ethan Page after Heatwave.

Borne took control during the commercial break. He exchanges strikes with Oro in the middle of the ring. Mesah drops Borne with a leg sweep. He kicks Borne's chest before hitting a moonsault off the middle rope. Mensah suplexes Borne and hits a somersault kick. Borne battles back with a beautiful dropkick. Kemp tries to give him brass knuckles but everyone else in the NQCC is yelling at Kemp since he had things under control. Mensah blasts him with a kick to pick up the victory.
Result - Oro Mensah defeats Myles Borne by pin.

Oro Mensah tangles with Myles Borne next. The two trade some counters until Oro hits a kick off the top rope. He adds another kick off the ropes for a two-count. Borne gets control after sending Oro into the ropes. He hits a neckbreaker for two.

Eddy Thorpe is surrounded by some groupies because he's a DJ on the side. Lexis King comes out to laugh at the choice of music Thorpe plays. King says real music is Guns N Roses, Scorpions, and Whitesnake (AND HE'S RIGHT)! Thorpe says where he plays likes EDM. King calls it "robot music" AND HE'S RIGHT!

The Champ adds that it's unfortunate for Lola that her career came during the reign of the Prodigy. Vice says she hit Roxy with her best shot and she woke up without her title. She adds that she'll be the first Cuban-American woman to be NXT Women's Champion. Lola's music hits and the security guards stand between the two women. Vice hits one of the guards with a spinning backfist.

Her mother earned her black belt while pregnant with her but then she had to 'go to work' at 18 to provide for her sick mother. She's trying to cry but not succeeding. Vice says she's the new NXT Champ at Battleground because of that. Roxy says she respects the story but everyone in the locker room wants to make that phone call to their mothers.

Perez claims that she watched Lola's match with Shayna Baszler at Battleground and probably couldn't hang with Shayna for two minutes. She adds that at Heatwave, it's not a cage match or underground match, but a wrestling match which she has already mastered. Lola says she's been a fighter since before she was born.

Lola Vice is already in the ring for her face-to-face with Roxanne Perez. She says Roxanne's time is counted as NXT Women's Champ. Ok. Perez comes out with two security guards because she stole her title last week. Roxy says she can't intimidate her and she should drop the act. She adds that Vice made a bigger name for herself in NXT than she did in MMA at Bellator. Perez also revisits how VIce cashed in her Breakout contract during a match between Perez and Lyra Valkyria.

Paxley slithers into the ring and chases Dame out. We go to the classroom of Chase University. Duke and Ridge are arguing and Duke finally says that they had help to beat the OC from Ridge interfering. Duke hands the photos to Mr. Chase much to the chagrin of Thea Hail and Mr. Chase. Riley says he knew all along. Ridge says he was just trying to help. Mr. Chase tells Ridge to stay back when they wrestle at Heatwave.

Dame slams Reece before hitting a Uranage. Reece battles back with some shoulder blocks. She adds a handstand into a clothesline to send Dame out of the ring. Dame pulls her out and they continue to fight around the ring. Tatum Paxley crawls in randomly as Dame re-enters the ring. Dame is about to hit the ropes but pulls up as Paxley stands on the apron. Reece goes for two roll-ups but Dame kicks out both times. Dame hits a Falcon Arrow for the win.

Backstage, Mr. Stone and Stevie Turner are sympathizing with Oro Mensah after the story he told last week. Turner and Stone are arguing but Stone tells Oro that he's facing Myles Borne tonight. Turner and Stone argue over giving Mensah the bad news, but Turner says he can't go to Heatwave due to the constant attacks on Ethan Page.

Shawn Spears cuts a pre-taped promo claiming that he came back to NXT to lead the next generation of stars. He also makes a good point that he's the first person to pin Trick Williams since Williams became NXT Champ. Up next is Brinley Reece taking on Izzi Dame.

Hank jumps off the top but is blasted with a knee from Dunne. Dunne twists his fingers before Bate hits a Lariat. Bate then hits a Corkscrew Plancha off the top for the win.

Hank tags in and uses his size to overpower Pete Dunne. He drops Bate on top of Bate before hyping up for a move. Dunne counters into a Triangle Choke/Armbar but Hank lifts him up and backs into his corner. Tank tags in but Bate breaks up the pin. The big guys hit stereo suicide dives on the outside. Dunne lands a kick on Hank but gets back suplexed by Hank. He kicks out at two.

Dunne comes in and immediately chops Hank's chest. He tries to work on Hank's arm but Hank raises him up. He gets a blind tag to Tank and Tank drops Pete with a shoulderblock. Hank and Tank squash Pete between them. Dunne then slaps Tank in the face before tagging Tyler back in. Bate hits a somersault Senton but Tank fights back with a springboard shoulder block off the middle buckle. Bate responds with a deadlift suplex. Tank runs to his corner to tag Hank in. Bate takes Hank on a ride with an airplane spin.

Hank challenges Tyler Bate to a 'Test of Strength' in the middle of the ring. He pins Bate to the mat but Bate bridges up.

Kelani cuts a pre-taped promo before her defense against Sol Ruca. She was a successful collegiate gymnast.

Up next is New Catch Republic taking on Tank Ledger and Hank Walker.

Je'Von Evans cuts a promo saying he's never left the country before and had to get a passport just to compete at Heatwave.

In the locker room, Arianna Grace sits by herself, sighing for attention. Karmen Petrovic is playing with her sword. Karmen finally asks her what she wants, and Grace says that Sol snatched her soul last week. She is sad because she isn't going to Heatwave in her hometown of Toronto. Karmen says she's from there, too, but Arianna says that Karmen isn't "as Canadian as she is."

Jacy and Jazmyn come in to mock both women, but Grace claims 'she isn't with her.' Petrovic steps up to the bullies, but they laugh and leave.

Michin puts the trashcan over Parker's head in the corner. She hits a Cannonball but Jaida kicks out at two. She tries to blast Parker with a pipe but Parker hits her with a fire extinguisher. She then sends herself and Michin through a random part of the arena wall after a hip attack. Jaida drags Michin to the ring and hits her running butt attack for the win.
Result - Jaida Parker defeats Michin by pin.

Parker is trying to pull one of Michin's teeth out of her mouth off the commercial break. Michin hits her in the gut with a loaded sock. She piles up some chairs before dropping some nuts and bolts on top of them. Parker counters into a back body drop, sending Michin onto the pile of mayhem instead. Michin kicks out at two and quickly brandishes a Kendo Stick to beat on Parker.
