Over a year away from the ring, he is now back with another dominant victory on his return. A former featherweight champion, Davis has left an imprint on the professional boxing world in a short span of time.

Gervonta Davis, one of the biggest stars among the current crop of boxers has multiple accomplishments under his name bearing testimony to his finesse as a competitor. Having competed in three different weight classes, he has ruled the roast with an iron fist and outclassed all his rivals clinically.

After amassing an incredible professional boxing record of 17 wins and 0 losses, Davis locked horns with Jose Pedraza for the IBF super featherweight title. He defeated Pedraza by a seventh-round TKO to win the title. He won the following fights and landed another championship opportunity against Jesus Cuellar on April 21, 2018, for the vacant WBA super featherweight title. Gervonta Davis defeated Cuellar by a third-round TKO to win the title.

On June 26, 2021, Gervonta Davis, riding high on a record of 25 wins and 0 losses locked horns with Mario Barrios for the WBA (Regular) super lightweight title. He won the fight by finishing Barrios in the 11th round by a TKO to clinch the WBA super lightweight strap from him. He is considered one of the best boxers among the current crop of boxers, already seen as one of the biggest stars in professional boxing, Davis has his eyes set on his upcoming bout where he will try to keep his winning momentum intact by securing an easy victory.
