The UFC women's strawweight champion Zhang Weili, a Chinese MMA fighter born in 1989, is currently ranked No. 2 in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings, as of February 2025. Zhang debuted in the UFC in 2018 and defeated Jéssica Andrade to claim the title of women's strawweight the following year. She became the organization's first-ever Chinese champion.
For her last showdown, Zhang Weili squared off against Yan Xiaonan at UFC 300 by putting her strawweight title on the line. She won the match by a unanimous decision and retained her championship.
