On August 5th, 2023, the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, will be the venue for a boxing match titled "Ready 4 War," featuring influencer boxer Jake Paul and former MMA fighter Nate Diaz. It will be Jake Paul's 8th professional boxing appearance while marking Nate Diaz's debut in professional boxing.

In February 2023, Tommy Fury achieved a victory over Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia, and both fighters expressed their interest in a rematch. However, in March, there were reports suggesting that Paul and his team were considering other opponents before facing Fury again. They were apparently looking at the possibility of having bouts with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and KSI.

Later, on April 12, it was officially announced that Jake Paul would step back into the ring to face mixed martial artist Nate Diaz. The bout was set for eight rounds and would mark Diaz's professional boxing debut. Then, in June, it was revealed that the fight would be extended to 10 rounds after both Paul and Diaz agreed to the change of terms via their social media accounts.
