Jalin Turner was born on May 18, 1985, in San Bernardino, California, USA. Turner had been interested in athletics since childhood, but recurring injuries kept him from getting involved in sports. With time, he developed an interest in mixed martial arts and eventually picked up the sport as a competitor while making a career out of it.

Jalin Turner briefly competed on the amateur circuit in mixed martial arts, where he featured in a total of seven bouts. He won 5 out of his 7 fights while losing 2. Turner turned up at Dana White’s Contender Series 12 on June 19, 2018, and squared off against Max Mustaki. He put on a dominant show and dispatched Mustaki in the first round by first-round TKO.

Jalin Turner locked horns with Vicente Luque in his inaugural showdown for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at UFC 229 on October 6, 2018, in a welterweight bout, which was also the first welterweight fight of Turner’s professional career. Luque defeated him clinically by finishing him via first-round KO. Jalin Turner returned to the lightweight division in his next fight against Callan Potter in UFC 234 on February 10, 2019, and won via first-round TKO.
