He started at the young age of 16 by training in Muay Thai, and he won a national championship in 2011. Prochazka switched to mixed martial arts and made his debut in 2012. Jiri Prochazka competed in Rizin in the initial phase of his career. In 2015, in the Rizin World Grand Prix 2015, he locked horns against Satoshi Ishii in the quarter-final and won via KO; in the semi-final, he battered Vadim Nemkov by beating him via KO.
