UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has refuted Jiri Prochazka’s claims of using rituals, voodoo, and black magic to enhance his fighting abilities. Prochazka, who lost to Pereira via second-round TKO at UFC 303, has repeatedly raised these allegations, most recently on The Joe Rogan Experience.
In an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Pereira dismissed the accusations, emphasizing his faith and commitment to fairness in competition.
“All respect to him, but no man, I’m a god-fearing man. I have God in my heart… He’s just saying these things, I’ve never participated in any of those things, I’m a regular person. If he really believed that, take a doll, tie my hands and feet, and then fight me, like that’s going to work?"
Pereira also expressed his desire for a clean and competitive rematch, saying:

“With all respect to him, and honestly speaking, if we went and fought again a third time and if he put all this [magic claims] aside and just fought, I think we would be able to give a much better fight… I don’t want to fight guys who are cheating, no, I want to fight them at their best, at their prime. A guy that’s ready, gets the fire in him and thinks ‘I want to beat this guy’. And if they’re at their best, there’s no reason to talk about this kind of stuff.”

Alex Pereira warns Magomed Ankalaev ahead of UFC 313 fight
UFC light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is gearing up for a highly anticipated showdown with Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 in March, and he’s already making his intentions clear.
Ahead of the clash with the Dagestani fighter, Pereira sent a bold warning to Ankalaev during an interview with Ariel Helwani. Pereira emphasized that if Ankalaev fails to back up his trash talk, he’ll face a big challenge:
"If [Ankalaev] doesn't back up what he says, people have already seen me making fun of my other opponents. Sometimes I joke and stuff, but this is the guy I'm really going to make fun of."
