Pedro's UFC journey began on November 15, 2016, when he made his promotional debut against Khalil Rountree at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Brunson. He secured a win via submission in the first round and earned a Performance of the Night bonus.

In his subsequent bout at UFC 209 on March 4, 2017, Pedro faced Paul Craig and emerged victorious with a first-round TKO. However, his winning streak was halted when he faced Ilir Latifi at UFC 215 on September 9, 2017, suffering his first professional loss via unanimous decision.

Pedro continued his UFC career, defeating Saparbek Safarov on February 11, 2018, with a first-round kimura submission. Nevertheless, he faced a setback when he took on Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Edwards on June 23, 2018, losing via a first-round submission.

On August 10, 2018, Pedro extended his UFC contract for six more fights. He then faced Maurício Rua at UFC Fight Night 142 on December 2, 2018, but suffered a technical knockout in round three due to a leg injury.

The entirety of 2019 saw Pedro recovering from knee reconstruction surgery, and his return was scheduled for February 23, 2020, against Vinicius Moreira at UFC Fight Night: Felder vs. Hooker. Unfortunately, he withdrew due to an undisclosed injury.

After a three-year hiatus from fighting, Pedro made a comeback on April 23, 2022, at UFC Fight Night 205 against Ike Villanueva, winning with a first-round knockout. He continued his successful return on August 20, 2022, at UFC 278, defeating Harry Hunsucker with a front kick to the body and ground and pound.

Pedro's scheduled bout against Zhang Mingyang at UFC 284 on February 12, 2023, was replaced with a fight against Modestas Bukauskas, which he lost via unanimous decision.

Pedro faced Anton Turkalj (8-2-0) on September 10, 2023, at UFC 293 and won via a KO in the first round.
