Since making his professional debut in 2009, Curtis has competed in numerous promotions like Spartan FC, PFL, XMMA, Fierce FC, etc., before signing a multiple-fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He made his octagon debut on November 6, 2021, against Phil Hawes and won the fight via KO at 4:27 in the first round at UFC 268. In his last three outings, Curtis lost to Kelvin Gastelum via a unanimous decision at UFC 287 on April 8, 2023, and his bout against Nassourdine Imavov at UFC 289 was ruled a no-contest after an accidental head clash rendered Curtis unable to compete. He defeated Marc André Barriault at UFC 297 by a split decision.
