The formidable unified light heavyweight champion, Dmitry Bivol is one of the most significant active boxers on the planet. With an impeccable record of 23 wins and no losses, Bivol is still undefeated in his game accompanied by sheer dominance inside the ring. Moreover, with a majority of his wins coming via knockout(12), Dmitry Bivol has a knockout rate of 52.17%.

However, on his next outing, Bivol will be tested against the other unified and undefeated light heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev. The winner of the bout will determine the undisputed light heavyweight champion on October 12, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Moreover, Beterbiev is also still undefeated in the sport all 20 of his total fights being won via knockout. Thus, Bivol would be going head to head against another champion with a 100% knockout rate.

Dmitry Bivol’s gym

While talking to The Ring in 2016, Bivol claimed that even though he lives in Russia, he relocated to California, United States for his training camps. He trains under Gennady Gushianov and the duo has been together for a long time.

However, most of Dmitry Bivol’s boxing matchups had been taking place in Saudi Arabia and hence, there are multiple sources claiming Bivol did not train in a particular gym throughout his career.

For his upcoming bout against Artur Beterbiev, Bivol had been training in a private gym at a resort in Turkey. While talking to BoxRaw’s founder, Ben Amanna on his YouTube channel, Bivol said that the gym they train in is a private one made by the resort owner and also claimed that Oleksandr Usyk had used the space while preparing for Tyson Fury.

Whereas, Bivol for his last fight against Malik Zinad, was seen preparing in another gym named Cobra.

Additionally, there are media posted on Bivol’s Instagram, where the light heavyweight champion is seen working out at Mike Tyson’s boxing club in UAE.

Dmitry Bivol’s team

Even though Dmitry Bivol can easily switch the places he trains at, the Russian champion always keeps his team together. Dmitry Bivol trains under his head coach, Gennady Gushianov. Bivol also has a strength and conditioning coach, Taylor Ramsdell. Ramsdell helps Bivol in maintaining his strength, functionality, and explosiveness inside the ring.

Apart from these two coaches, Bivol’s team consists of multiple sparring partners from different weight classes and also his managerial team, headed by Vadim Kornilov.
