Mike' Proper' Malott competes in the welterweight division of the UFC. Malott's road to the Ultimate Fighting Championship has not been easy. He competed in numerous promotions, big and small, before earning his contract in the UFC.

Despite Fugitt's efforts to recover, Malott continued to find effective striking opportunities. In the second round, Fugitt initiated the action, but Malott responded with powerful strikes, including a powerful right-left combination that dropped Fugitt. Seizing the opportunity, Malott capitalized on Fugitt's compromised position, securing a guillotine choke for the submission victory at 1:06 of the second round.
