Paul Craig

Paul Craig is a Scottish mixed martial arts competitor who currently fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. As an amateur, he recorded three straight victories against Gary Sivills, Paul Bradshaw, and Jett Metcaffe by first-round finishes. Craig made his professional mixed martial arts debut as a light heavyweight competitor on August 24, 2013, at the First Fighting Championship: Prepare for Glory 3 against Brad Conway. He dispatched Conway in the inaugural round by making him submit with the help of a triangle choke.

Paul Craig went on a fantastic nine-fight winning streak, eight of which came through first-round finishes, before suffering his first professional loss. He squared off against Tyson Pedro at UFC 209 on March 4, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. He came up short against Pedro and lost via first-round TKO. Following his first professional loss, Craig locked horns with Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio on July 16, 2017, in Glasgow, Scotland. Rountree Jr. defeated him via first-round KO, thus handing him the second professional loss of his career. Paul Craig recovered from consecutive losses and defeated Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Volkov via third-round submission, only to lose his next bout against Jimmy Crute at UFC Fight Night: dos Santos vs. Tuivasa in 2018 via third-round submission. Paul Craig switched to middleweight after losing two of his fights against Volkan Oezdemir and Johnny Walker at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall and UFC 283.

Paul Craig will take on Bo Nickal on November 16, 2024, at Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York, USA. The duo will lock horns with each other in a middleweight bout on the main card of UFC 309: Jones vs. Miocic.
