Paulo Costa is a prominent professional mixed martial artist active on the professional scene. The Brazilian fighter was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais in Brazil on April 21, 1991. Since his professional debut, Costa has fought in multiple fight promotions and weight classes, he is currently a part of the elite Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Overcoming adversity, Paulo Costa entered the professional fight scene as a mixed martial artist on February 5, 2012, against Teo Esteves at MMA Total Combat Santa Luzia in a middleweight bout. He made quick work of his rival courtesy of a devastating head kick earning him a first-round TKO victory over him and started his career with a dominant victory.

Paulo Costa rampaged through his opponents and compiled a record of 8 wins and 0 losses before becoming a part of the UFC. On March 11, 2017, he made his promotional debut in the leading professional mixed martial arts promotion by squaring off against Garreth McLellan at UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Gastelum. He had a successful inaugural outing to the octagon as he emerged victorious by beating McLellan by a first-round TKO. As of May 2024, Paulo Costa has a total of 17 fights under his kitty out of which he has won 14 and lost 3. He has 11 knockouts, 1 submission, and 2 decision victories. On the other hand, he has suffered 1 knockout and 2 decision losses.
