Throne and Liberty has attracted a lot of players who will need to know some beginner tips and tricks before starting. The upcoming game will feature many things even legacy MMO fans may not have seen. Those who have exclusively played more traditional PvE MMOs may also find themselves confused about some mechanics.
Throne and Liberty's combat mainly features massive scale PvPvE style battles fought in the open world. This may puzzle those who are more used to instanced raid, dungeon, and small-scale PvP content. The game also lacks a more common mount system, instead allowing players to shapeshift into different creatures.
This guide dives into five beginner tips and tricks for anyone new to this MMO.

Throne and Liberty beginner tips
1) Focus on the main story questline
You'll want to make sure you're focusing on the main questline of Throne and Liberty, just like you would in World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV. Although it may be tempting to venture off or do side quests, it's best to stay the course when starting.
Much of the game's content is unlocked through the main story. This is also how you explore the world best.
2) Pick the proper weapon
The weapon you choose for combat greatly affects your play style. If you choose a dagger, for example, you'll need to be good at attacking from the right place at the right time to do maximum damage. If you choose a greatsword, you'll instead be using massive slow attacks to crush foes.
Which weapon you pick is a vital aspect of combat since Throne and Liberty doesn't have a class system. Ensuring you pick the one that fits you best is extremely important.
3) Always unlock teleport stones
While exploring Throne and Liberty, you'll come across many teleportation stones. Interacting with these allows you to fast travel.
As you might imagine, it is important that you interact with teleportation stones as soon as you can to speed up all the game's travel. If you choose not to, you may very soon find yourself wishing you had as you have to walk an unnecessary distance.
Though it may be tempting to venture off to something interesting nearby, you should always interact with these teleportation stones before doing anything else in the area.
4) Complete chapters when they're available
To progress through the main story quest of Throne and Liberty, you'll need to complete what are known as Chapters. These are contained sets of quests that explore the plot of the game sequentially.
One of the most important things to understand about Chapters is that you have to wait before starting a new one. This wait time varies but can sometimes be several hours.
Due to this mandatory waiting time after completing a Chapter, you must complete them as soon as they are available. If you do not, you'll most likely find yourself over-leveled doing dungeons and side quests while waiting for the next Chapter.
5) Spend your Morph growth points
Throne and Liberty's Morphs system, which allows players to shapeshift, is one of the game's most unique aspects. Instead of having players traverse the world on top of mounts like most titles, this MMO allows them to turn into mounts. These mounts, known as Morphs, have forms that work on land, air, and water.
While leveling, you will receive growth points, which are very similar to character growth points. You must spend these points on your Morphs as soon as you can. Investing in your Morphs will buff your ability to traverse the world greatly, which will greatly speed up your leveling and questing.
