The Israeli air tree in War Thunder is the smallest in the game. On top of that, it starts from Battle Rating 3.3, unlike all other nations. Being such a small tech tree, it is easy to grind through and has some of the best planes in the game. But it is worth noting that none of these planes are Israeli-designed. There are Israeli weapon systems, but the planes are from other nations like the UK, France, and the US.
So without further adieu, let's take a look at the five best Israeli planes in this military vehicle combat MMO.

What are the five best Israeli planes in War Thunder?
1) Spitfire Mk IXc
The Spitfire Mk IXc sits at Rank IV, Battle Rating 4.3, and is basically the same as the Spitfire F Mk IX in the British air tree. The Spitfire is legendary for its turnfighting ability and can easily outmatch most of its opponents in a dogfight. It can even go toe-to-toe with a lot of highly maneuverable Japanese planes it faces.
The plane is equipped with four 7.7 mm Browning machine guns and two 20 mm Hispano Mk.II cannons. This gives the Spitfire enough firepower to deal with every other plane that it can come across in its BR.

2) Meteor NF.13
The Meteor NF.13 is an early jet fighter and is a modified British Meteor in Israeli service. The difference lies in the fact that it has a radar in its nose that can detect targets up to 8.5 km away. This might come in handy in Ground Realistic battles and Simulator battles where enemies are not marked.
The plane sits at Rank V, BR 7.7. It is highly maneuverable and can turnfight most other jets it might face at its BR. The Meteor's maneuverability also gives it a better chance at effectively battling any propellor-driven fighters it might face in downtiers.
The Meteor is equipped with four 20 mm Hispano Mk.V cannons, which are very potent. All these capabilities combined make the Meteor NF.13 one of the most well-rounded planes in its BR.

3) Kurnass
The Kurnass is the Israeli version of the F-4E Phantom that you can find in the American air tree in War Thunder. It is identical in all aspects except that it gets AIM-9G and not the AIM-9J IR-guided missiles.
The plane sits at Rank VII, BR 11.3, and is a pretty decent aircraft at its BR. It maneuvers very well when it is on low fuel but can easily energy-trap planes like the MiG-21.
The Kurnass is equipped with a 20 mm M61A1 cannon, which is very accurate and has a high fire rate. The missile kit includes the AIM-7E-2(DF) SARH air-to-air missiles as well as the AIM-9G. Although the AIM-9G is slightly less maneuverable than the AIM-9J that the F-4E gets, it can travel a longer distance.
Also, the plane gets a good loadout of unguided and guided ordinances for a ground attack role.

4) F-16C Barak II
The F-16C Barak II is the latest addition to the Israeli tech tree. It was introduced in the War Thunder 'Dance of Dragons' update. The flight model is the same as the American F-16C, but the missile kit is a bit different.
The plane sits at Rank VIII, BR 13.7, and is one of the three top-tier planes in the Israeli tree. It beats the F-16D Barak II because it has better flight performance. The F-16C is one of the fastest jets in the game and is highly maneuverable. It can go toe-to-toe in dogfights with most other planes it faces.
This aircraft is equipped with a 20 mm M61A1 cannon. It carries the AIM-9L and AIM-9M IR-guided missiles, as well as the AIM-120A and the Israeli-made Derby ARH missiles.
It also has a good CAS loadout with unguided bombs, as well as a large loadout of GPS and laser-guided bombs.

5) Baz Meshupar
The Baz Meshupar is arguably the best top-tier plane in the Israeli tech tree. It is similar to the F-15C in the American air tree and sits at Rank VIII, BR 13.7.
The plane has excellent flight performance and can be considered on par with almost all other planes when it comes to maneuverability. It has great high-speed as well as low-speed performance, making it a great option for close-range dogfights.
The Baz Meshupar is also equipped with the 20 mm M61A1 cannon. Its missile kit is similar to the F-16C Barak II. However, it does not get access to the Derby ARH missiles but gets the Python 3 IR missiles.
It can do a limited amount of CAS, as it can only carry a moderate loadout of unguided bombs as well as GPS and TV-guided bombs.
