Blue Cards in Rust is an item that players can come across in Tier 1 monuments. They open up the path to completing other card puzzles in the game, providing players access to better loot in Tier 2 monuments, like Water Treatment, Train Yard, and so on. They are an important part of Rust, and they guarantee players an easy way to farm a lot of scrap in the game.

This article will provide a detailed guide for players to discover all the Blue Cards in Rust and how they can get their hands on it.


How to find Blue Cards in Rust

Blue Cards in Rust can only be found in four monuments, these are:

  1. Harbor (Large)
  2. Harbor (Small)
  3. Sewer Branch
  4. Satellite Dish

Here's a step-by-step guide to get your hands on it across different monuments in the game

Note: Players need to have a Green Card and Fuse in their inventory before they proceed to go for the Blue Card unlock puzzles listed below.


1) Harbor (Large)

There are two security buildings in the Large Harbor. One of them houses the fusebox, while the other houses the Blue Card. Here's how you can get the Blue Card in Large Harbor:

  1. Go to the security building with the fusebox. It should be located on the top-left corner of the monument.
  2. Proceed to locate the fusebox on the wall and interact with it to place the Fuse.
  3. Press the switch right beside it to turn on the mechanism.
  4. Upon doing so, head towards the first dock. Here, you will find the second security building. Proceed to swipe your Green Card on the lock. This will unlock the Blue Card room.
  5. Here, you will find the Blue Card on the table alongside two loot boxes.

That's how you can get one of the Blue Cards in Rust by contesting the larger Harbor. It's the easiest puzzle to complete and is relatively risk-free since it's a Tier-1 Monument.

2) Harbor (Small)

There's a second Harbor in Rust which is much smaller than the previously described Monument. In the smaller Harbor, the Blue Card is housed in the same building as the fusebox.

Here's how you can tackle Harbor to easily get access to one of the Blue Cards in Rust:

  1. Head towards the western side of the monument to locate a two-storey building.
  2. Go to the bottom floor and locate the fusebox. Interact with it to put the Fuse in and proceed to turn on the circuit.
  3. Come out of the room and take the first flight of stairs attached to the building. Here, you will be prompted for a Green Card Swipe. Complete the puzzle by swiping your card.

Upon doing so, you will find the Blue Card laid on the table. Interact to place it into your inventory.

3) Sewer Branch

Sewer Branch is one of the most contested Tier-1 Monuments in Rust. It has fantastic loot spawns and is one of the prime sources for one of those Blue Cards in Rust. Here's how you can complete the puzzle to get your very own Blue Card from Sewer Branch:

  1. Head towards the Sewer Branch Monument and locate the tin-roofed outhouse.
  2. Head inside the building and proceed to locate the fusebox. Put a Fuse in, and hit the switch to activate the circuit.
  3. Come out of the building and trace the electricity line coming out from the building. You will find it directly going towards a sewer beside the building.
  4. Head down the sewer and go straight until you're met with a door requiring a Green Card. Proceed to swipe the Green Card to gain access to the underground section of the Sewer Branch.
  5. From here, proceed to head into the center of the area, and you will find a Blue Card right beside the recycler in the middle of the room.

Trace back your steps to exit the Monument after successfully getting your hands on the item.

4) Satellite Dish

Satellite Dish another easy Monument through which you can get your hands on one of the Blue Cards in Rust. Here are the steps required to get the item:

  1. The Fusebox in Satellite Dish is located in the north-eastern area in a tiny little outhouse.
  2. Head towards this building. It should be located right under one of the major satellites in the monument. Interact with the fusebox, place the fuse in, and turn the switch on.
  3. The Green Card room, on the other hand, is located on the exact opposite side. Head towards the southwestern part of Satellite Dish to locate a similar outhouse with a Green-room door.
  4. Interact with the door using your Green Card to gain access. Proceed to loot the Blue Card on the table.
