Throne and Liberty Field bosses
Throne and Liberty features a wide assortment of powerful Field Bosses to tackle - here's what you need to know (Image via Amazon Games)

Throne and Liberty features powerful Field Bosses that can be battled across the game’s zones. These are co-op experiences, so the players will likely not be able to solo them. At launch, there are a total of fourteen of these powerful foes spread across the map. Players can even see when these enemies are available to fight, and where they spawn, thanks to the in-game map, and the “Timetable” section.

Players can also fight versions of these bosses as a guild, in the form of Guild Raids. This will probably be safer as well, as some of Throne and Liberty’s Field Bosses show up in conflicted PVP zones. If you want to know more about these foes in this free-to-play MMO, we’re here to help.

All Laslan Field bosses in Throne and Liberty

1) Morokai

  • Location: SE section of Carmine Forest
  • Recommended Level: 40
  • Potential Drops: Morokai's Greatblade of Corruption, Arcane Shadow Gloves, Abyssal Grace Pendant, Golem Shattering Sword, Resonance Blade, Golem Impaler Longbow, First Blood Longbow, Elusive Hexweaver Gloves, Decorated Champion Greaves, Prepared Adventurer Glynt,
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Morokai

Morokai is relatively easy as far as Throne and Liberty’s Field Bosses go. It can summon a series of AOE strikes that deal lightning damage, so if you get picked as a target, run away from the group to avoid harming others. At 50%, he’ll summon a series of pillars that, after a delay, deal massive damage to combatants picked at random.

2) Ahzreil

  • Location: SW section of Light Sanctum Ruins
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Ahzreil's Siphoning Sword, Swirling Essence Pants, Divine Justiciar Pants, Blessed Templar Cloak, Resonance Blade, Daggers of Undead Severing, Staff of Undead Banishment, Malevolent Staff, Alacritous Invoker Hood, Malevolent Staff, Monarch Raven
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Ahzreil

While Azhreil isn’t an especially dangerous fight in Throne and Liberty, this field boss does have the capacity to one-shot players if they don’t pay attention to mechanics. It has a Fury Attack that can stun, but if you block at the right time, it’s not an issue.

If you get picked with a blue circle, run. A meteor is about to strike. One of the most dangerous parts of the fight is when it summons three totems. Players will get a Time Bomb debuff and will need to run to the totems to destroy them with the Time Bomb.

3) Adentus

  • Location: Southern section of Ruins of Tyrayne
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Adentus's Gargantuan Greatsword. Shadow Harvester Mask, Blessed Templar Helmet, Girdle of Spectral Skulls, Daggers of the Resistance, Viperstrike Arbalests, Malevolent Staff, Scepter of the Resistance, Resolute, Crusader Helmet, Soul Mirror Turban, Loyal Fist Dentwerp
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Adentus

A relatively simple Field Boss in Throne and Liberty, as long as the tank manages to hold aggro and keep the melee strikes away from the group, melee players will take less damage. It has an attack that puts three glowing lines on the ground, that erupt after a delay. This can stun players caught in it, so beware of that.

It can also summon yellow circles that explode, knocking up anyone who gets caught in them. Its Fury attack pulls everyone in, but if you block at the right time, you won’t get reeled in.

4) Grand Aeolon

  • Location: Eastern edge of Purelight Hill
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Aelon's Rejuvenating Longbow, Greaves of the Field General, Arcane Shadow Pants, Wrapped Coin Necklace, Dead Reckoning Greatsword, Golem Shattering Sword, Shadewalker Daggers, Golem Impaler Longbow, Alacritous Invoker Shoes, Ornate Choker, Forest Protector Grover,
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Grand Aeolon

Grand Aeolon is also a fairly easy boss to learn how to fight. It also drops some of the best tank gear in the game right now, so that role will want to go out of their way to fight this one. Watch out for the Cone of Thorns, even though it doesn’t hurt much. If you get locked in a Thorn Cage, destroy it to get out before it kills you.

All Stonegard Field Bosses in Throne and Liberty

1) Excavator-9

  • Location: East section of Monolith Wastelands
  • Recommended Level: 24-27
  • Potential Drops: Excavator's Mysterious Scepter, Heroic Breeches of the Resistance, Embossed Granite Band, Dead Reckoning Greatsword, Sword of Undead Vanquishing, Shadewalker Daggers, Longbow of Undead Skewering, Elusive Hexweaver Hat, Elusive Hexweaver Pants, Raging Eagle
  • Guaranteed Drops: Conquest Participation Award: Excavator-9

Field Boss Excavator-9 in Throne and Liberty will likely feel similar to some other bosses like Morokai. It can deal AOE attacks that you can avoid by jumping - this is when he shouts “Wide-range operation!”.

This boss also has a Fury Attack with the same callout, so watch for the Fury Attack indicator to tell the difference. It has another attack you can also dodge by jumping - watch for the purple particles. It’s not an incredibly challenging fight if you’re paying attention.

2) Chernobog

You don't want to be too close when Chernobog spawns (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: Northern part of Abandoned Stonemason Town
  • Recommended Level: 28-31
  • Potential Drops: Chernobog's Blade of Beheading, Helm of the Field General, Arcane Shadow Shoes, Bile Drenched Veil, Daggers of the Resistance, Longbow of the Resistance, Viperstrike Arbalests, Wand of Skyward Blessing, Decorated Champion Crown, Soul Mirror Hand Guards, Ghost Skoll
  • Guaranteed Drops: Conquest Participation Award: Chernobog

A healer is certainly recommended for the Chernobog fight since it deals poisonous DOT attacks. Longbow and Staff builds wouldn’t be bad for this fight. You also need to stay away from it when it spawns in, to avoid the knockup.

The Fury Attack is a huge stunning Tail Swipe, but it’s not hard to block. The other major attack is its Burrow, which Stuns/Knocks players back. The second time it does this, players get knocked into the air, and it can turn people to stone with its Petrifying Spray.

3) Talus

Talus can be incredibly dangerous, but worth it (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: Western section of The Raging Wilds
  • Recommended Level: 41-42
  • Potential Drops: Talus's Crystalline Staff, Phantom Wolf Mask, Blessed Templar Plate Mail, Forged Golden Bangle, Dead Reckoning Greatsword, Blade of the Resistance, Scepter of the Resistance, First Blood Longbow, Duskblood Mask, Resolute Crusader Gauntlets, Sprouting Talem
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Talus

If you get a Talus spawn in a Conflict zone, you can use its mechanics to defeat other players, which is a really cool concept for Field Bosses in Throne and Liberty. When it raises its hands, it does a knockback. When it says “Expel Magic”, it spins and does a powerful Windstorm - run to the center. If you see Damage restores, it spawns stones that players need to run to, to avoid being one-shot.

4) Malakar

Malakar, the Eye of Desires is one of the stronger Field bosses (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: NE section of Manawastes - above ground
  • Recommended Levels: 43-45
  • Potential Drops: Malakar's Energizing Crossbows, Shock Commander Visor, Ebon Roar Gauntlets, Gilded Infernal Wristlet, Broadsword of the Resistance, Blade of the Resistance, Resonance Blade, First Blood Longbow, Decorated Champion Boots, Duskblood Boots, Clear-Eyed Figment
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Malakar

Malakar can be a frustrating Field Boss in Throne and Liberty due to the frequency of its Fury Attack - so keep ready to block at all times. If you get a red eye on you in melee, you need to run away so it doesn’t catch you.

It also has AOE projectiles, can teleport, and deal damage with a Petrify Stun with a massive AOE. You can have a melee player get to max range and bait out the teleport though, so they can position the boss in a way that won’t get everyone caught. You can even use this to get enemy players in a Conflict fight.

5) Kowazan and Lycan Kowazan

The time of day determines which version of the Full Moon Tyrant you battle (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: NW section of Grayclaw Forest
  • Recommended Levels: 50
  • Potential Drops for Kowazan: Kowazan's Twilight Daggers, Shock Commander Greaves, Collar of Decimation, Arcane Shadow Hat, Dead Reckoning Greatsword, Crossbows of Undead Piercing
  • Potential Drops for Lycan Kowazan: Kowazan's Sunflare Crossbows, First Blood Longbow, Golem Sundering Wand, Duskblood Trousers, Guardian Torque, Fenrian Skoll
  • Guaranteed Drops: Conquest Participation Award: Kowazan (Daytime), Conquest Participation Award: Lycan Kowazan (Nighttime)

During the daytime, you’ll fight Field Boss Kowazan in Throne and Liberty. It has a variety of melee and ranged attacks, including a Vacuum pull, which then AOE blasts and debuffs the players that he reeled in. If you are marked, run and touch the bodies of players who aren’t marked to spread the debuff. Its Fury Attack that is in melee range, so if you’re close, get ready to block.

Lycan Kowazan can only be fought at night and has a Fury Attack that covers most of the zone. Everyone will likely have to get ready to block it. If you get marked with the Red Moon, immediately run up to the boss. Failure means he will start killing players that were marked at random. It’s imperative to get there right away.

  • Location: 3rd Floor of Syleus’s Abyss
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Cornelius's Animated Edge, Ascended Guardian Hood, Divine Justiciar Attire, Abyssal Grace Charm, Broadsword of the Resistance, Crossbows of the Resistance, Resonance Blade, Malevolent Staff, Decorated Champion Gauntlets, Soul Mirror Trousers, Obsidian Knight Ossic
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Cornelius

Field Boss Cornelius in Throne and Liberty has a wealth of annoying AOE attacks to keep an eye out for. It also traps everyone fighting it in a forcefield that prevents anyone from coming or going. Make sure you’re close to avoid being locked out. If it lowers its left hand, it’s going to try and pull people in. It also has a projectile attack in the form of five lines.

If it spawns a Blue Mark over players, they need to run from the group. If it targets people with a Red Mark, those players also need to run, to make sure the large AOE doesn’t kill other players.

2) Minezerok

Minezerok is one of the hardest bosses in Throne and Liberty right now (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: 1st floor of Shadowed Crypt
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Minzerok's Daggers of Crippling, Swirling Essence Hat, Divine Justiciar Gloves, Blessed Templar Choker, Shadewalker Daggers, Crossbows of the Resistance, Longbow of the Resistance, Wand of Skyward Blessing, Resolute Crusader Greaves, Resolute Crusader Sabatons, Serious Wizard Glynt
  • Guaranteed Drops: Conquest Participation Award: Minezerok

Minezerok is certainly one of the hardest Field Bosses in Throne and Liberty. It’s packed with instant death mechanics. If it stuns a player, it will try to steal their soul. Players will have to defeat or crowd control the soul so it doesn’t get to Minezerok, to prevent death. It also has a huge AOE cone that can one-shot players - this typically comes up after the Soul mechanic.

Minezerok's Fury Attack can also one-shot a group and does a Black Hole Vacuum afterward. You must wait about eight seconds before morph sprinting, and getting to one of the grapple hook locations so you don’t die.

3) Junobote

  • Location: 1st Floor, Sanctum of Desire
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Junobote's Juggernaut Warblade, Arcane Shadow Robes, Shadow Harvester Trousers, Forsaken Embrace, Sword of Undead Vanquishing, Viperstrike Arbalests, Longbow of Undead Skewering, Wand of Skyward Blessing, Gladiator's Girdle, Cold Iron Band, Bluish Figment
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Junobote

Junobote tests how well players know Throne and Liberty. It will occasionally set up Quiz Time, where players have to answer True or False questions by running to the Statue of Truth or Falsehood. Failure means you take damage and get knocked out of the arena.

It also has a slow, but frequent Fury Attack, and a Red Orb marker. If you get targeted, position the boss away from the party so they don’t get hit with Flame Breath.

4) Nirma

Nirma is complicated, but it's worth tackling this Throne and Liberty boss (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: 5th Floor, Syleus’s Abyss
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Nirma's Sword of Echoes, Ascended Guardian Pants, Divine Justiciar Shoes, Clasp of the Overlord, Golem Grinding Greatsword, Shadewalker Daggers, Golem Dismantler Crossbows, Wand of Skyward Blessing, Alacritous Invoker Gloves, Alacritous Invoker Pants, Geode Dracoryft Turtle
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Nirma

Nirma will require trial and error, as one of the harder Field Bosses in Throne and Liberty. When the fight starts, the farthest player from it will get marked, and this will trigger AOE damage and a Fury Attack that will bounce to a nearby player. It’s important to keep away for that reason. It also has electric AOEs that cover part of the battle area in a cone.

The marked player has to move in a path agreed on by the group to avoid harming people. You should partner a healer with that marked player too, to keep them alive - or several if they get a healing debuff. It will also use an electric attack that hits everyone when it spins and raises its staff in the air. You can jump to avoid the blasts, or just heal through it.

5) Aridus

Aridus is really good at putting players down for a nap in Throne and Liberty (Image via Amazon Games)

  • Location: 5th Floor, Syleus’s Abyss
  • Recommended Level: 50
  • Potential Drops: Aridus's Gnarled Voidstaff, Phantom Wolf Breeches, Breeches of the Executioner, Belt of Bloodlust, Golem Chiseling Daggers, Viperstrike Arbalests, Golem Destruction Staff, Malevolent Staff, Duskblood Gloves, Ruby Bangle, Forest Light Grover
  • Guaranteed Drop: Conquest Participation Award: Aridus

Aridus is an interesting fight in Throne and Liberty. It will periodically spawn Wasps that deal damage in an AOE when near players. But you need them to be around for the Sleep mechanic. Aridus can put everyone to sleep on the platform, but the players that have Wasps on them will get woken up thanks to the damage.

Players in the inner circle of the platform won’t be instantly killed, but if you’re in the outer ring, you need to make sure the Wasps run past those players, so they can get to the center. Anyone who is in the outer ring after a set amount of time has passed instantly dies. Staff players with Salvation Chain can also help during this part of the fight.
