Rust World Update changes for October 2024 explored
A popular Rust source, cipeaX, and SHADOWFRAX, in their recent posts, has showcased the numerous changes and additions that have been crafted for the October update. Items showcased, though subject to change, for the most part, are confirmed for release since they've been officially brought into display and used within Rust's staging branch.
Let's take a deeper dive into all the new additions coming with the new force wipe:
Radtown Monument
A Radtown Monument has been in development for the past few months. The developers at Facepunch had teased this POI previously. From the latest information soured from cipeaX, we believe that the Monument is now in a playable state within the game's staging branch. Radtown is a revamped and improvised monument model from the title's legacy version. Naturally, we believe it will feature easter eggs commemorating its evolution and development since 2013.

The old "God Rock" and "Anvil Rock" are also reportedly making a comeback, according to the official Facepunch Discord server. These rocks were notoriously known for being the perfect base locations to create enormous and overpowered towering structures in the game.

However, as per the latest staging branch information, these areas will host a range of NPCs in the game who will offer unique items for trade, such as farming equipment, teas, primitive weapons, and more.
Furthermore, players will also find unique food crates in this area which will be capable of spawning teas and high-caloric foods.
