ArcheAge Chronicles, the long-awaited sequel to ArcheAge, has finally unveiled its full system requirements for future PC players. Coming in 2025, this is a refocus from a tab-target MMO into a more hands-on action RPG experience while retaining the massively multiplayer environment. Moreover, the recently unveiled batch of trailers shows a visually impressive game with current-generation lighting on par with Horizon Forbidden West.
Naturally, the system requirements of ArcheAge Chronicles reflect that graphically demanding nature.
Official PC system requirements for ArcheAge Chronicles
The following system requirements were put forward for ArcheAge Chronicles on the game's official website:
Minimum system specs
- Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super
- Disk Space: 100 GB
Recommended system specs
- Operating System: Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- RAM: 32 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti
- Disk Space: 100 GB
The game's current page on Steam and Epic Games also has the same system requirements on display, meaning it's quite set in stone. XLGames has set the barrier for entry quite high, with the 2070 Super, a card considered quite robust for current-generation 1080p gaming, set as the minimum milestone to beat.
The CPU requirements are just as demanding, but given how it might have large-scale PvP like Throne and Liberty, this CPU-intensive nature is understandable. Although the system requirements don't specify it, you'll likely need to run it on an SSD to avoid texture streaming issues.
ArcheAge Chronicles abandons the CryEngine roots of the first game, to espouse Unreal Engine 5 instead. Given the juiced-up visuals the trailers let on, this might make the upcoming MMO one of the most demanding titles to release in 2025. As such, it's fairly certain you'll need to rely on the latest Frame-Generation tech available at your disposal to get the game running at high settings.
Not much is known about the game's optimization thus far, so we'll have to wait till the developers reveal more details. If you're looking for another UE5 MMO to fill your time, Throne and Liberty might be up your alley; however, it has a much more traditional tab-targeting framework for combat.
