August 16 is free T-shirt day in WoW - here's how to get yours

Free T-Shirt Day is one of WoW’s many limited-time-only events. It’s only available for one day—August 16, 2024. If you pass on these costumes, you’ll have to wait a full calendar year to get them. Technically, only one of the shirts is free. The others cost 1 copper, from the various vendors scattered around the world. If getting the cosmetics isn’t enough, you can also use them to help you unlock more Trader’s Tenders.

Several objectives are available today as part of Free T-Shirt Day in WoW’s Traveler’s Log. You can find those by pressing Shift+J as the default in-game. However, if you just want the shirts, we’re here to help you build your fashion collection.

How to get free T-shirt day cosmetics in WoW

If you log into WoW on August 16, you can take part in free T-Shirt Day. It doesn’t matter if you’re Horde or Alliance, you just need access to the minimum of Stormwind or Orgrimmar. There are other vendors scattered across the world that will give you other options as well. The free shirts require you to head to your capital city.

Go to Orgrimmar’s Valley of Honor or Stormwind’s Dwarven District. You’ll know when you’re near; the minimap has a silver icon with a star in its center and it will also ping you in the right direction. These NPCs—Orgrimmar Entertainer and Stormwind Entertainer—will walk around and throw shirts on the ground.

All you have to do is walk up to one and interact with it to loot the shirt. These NPCs give you alternate colored variants of the Filigreed shirt. They also have a chance to drop the Free T-Shirt in WoW. It has a duration of one day, and if you wear it, it shows you with the “the T-Shirt Enthusiast” title/buff for five days.

Additionally, there are several other NPCs scattered across the land, who are selling awesome T Shirts in WoW for just 1 copper. All you have to do is get to their location. You can see them on the mini-map with a star icon, just like in the capital cities. Here are their locations:

• Everlook, Winterspring: Shirts Clothpatch sells Shirtsi’s Cloth Shirt (59, 50)
• Light’s Hope Chapel, EPL: Melvin Shirtson sells Threads of Tirion (74, 52)
• Shattrath: Selis Silksong sells Selis’ Silk Shirt (67, 27)
• Grizzly Hills, Northrend: Shuurt the Clothripper sells Shuurt’s Precious (49, 51)
• Valley of the Four Winds, Pandaria: Jade Lovelyshirts sells Jade’s Lovely Shirt (61, 58)
• Talador, Draenor: Tia Shortsleeve sells Tia Shortseleeve’s Short Sleeve Shirt (85, 31)
• Valdisdall, Stormheim: Gild Crewneck sells Gild’s Crewneck (60, 52)

You can easily use this to unlock the Fashionista: Shirt achievement (Collect 15 shirt appearances), which in turn helps you towards the Fabulous title/achievement. If you want to pick up more Trader’s Tenders, or simply more cosmetics, Free T Shirt day in WoW is for you.
