Players often wonder about the top builds for Countdown in The Division 2 since it is one of the best endgame modes to farm gear or weapons. Players resort to the eight-person cooperative multiplayer mode to farm their choices of gear or weapons since the allocated loot drop can be selected by them beforehand.
The presence of elites, robots, and Hunters in the powerplant where Countdown takes place allows players to gather several exotics. They can also stack up on Countdown points that can be used to redeem named items of caches at the Countdown vendor.
Thanks to The Division 2 Title Update 21, players can now access Countdown after reaching level 40, regardless of whether they own a copy of the Warlords of New York DLC.

What are the best builds for Countdown in The Division 2?
An important thing to note during raid runs in The Division 2's Countdown is that Shield and Riot Foam skills are highly recommended to counter the elites and Hunters at Pentco Fairview Power Plant.
Therefore, even if some of the builds for Countdown in The Division 2 miss out on any one of the skills, make sure your squadmates or teammates are running Riot Foams and/or Shields for faster run times.
1) Striker-St. Elmo's DPS build
The Striker's Battlegear-St. Elmo's Engine DPS setup ranks among the top builds for Countdown in The Division 2. This is because it revolves around the Striker's Battlegear gear set bonus that accumulates with its stacks. It uses the St. Elmos Engine to benefit from those stacks and dish out tons of damage in a short period across quite long ranges.
This DPS build features quite a few red cores, with some blue ones here and there for survivability. It can crit procs in millions when the gear set's stacks are almost maxed.
It is recommended that players run a rapid-firing shotgun like the Lefty, ACS-12, or Rock n' Roll to quickly stack up the Striker's gear set bonus.

Players can utilize a Crusader shield and Riot foam launcher to deal with elites or Hunters before they can get their EMPs off. It grants players access to the Linked Laser Pointer, which pulses targets that are being aimed at. This target pulse effect is what the Heartbreaker set utilizes to grant players weapon damage and bonus armor based on a stack system.
The guns specifically required for this build are Kingbreaker, which comes with perfect Flatline talent and another rapid firing shotgun equipped with the flatline talent and Linked Laser Pointer (the ACS-12, for example).
