Throne and Liberty's DPS builds are the primary force multipliers in matchmade or guild-based content. These classes are often identified as having very little survivability, but their sheer damage output makes up for their inadequate defense. While most MMORPGs have PvE-focused DPS kits, Throne and Liberty's hybridized classes make every role viable in both PvE and PvP.

DPS builds in Throne and Liberty can be differentiated by weapon choices, as each weapon possesses skills suitable for a certain role and playstyle. While Greatswords might seem like an excellent choice for DPS, it can also function as a frontline Tank that can soak up some hefty damage before going down.

Here are our picks for the five best DPS builds. These are not ranked in any order, so feel free to play any build that catches your fancy.

5 best DPS builds in Throne and Liberty

1) Greatsword/Crossbow

Starting off the list is a hybrid build that can transition into various roles based on your needs. The Greatsword/Crossbow build is excellent for those who want to learn the ropes while not dragging down the rest of the team. Armed with buff skills like DaVinci's Courage and Mortal Mark to weaken enemies, the Greatsword/Crossbow combo greatly benefits any team composition.

The damage portion isn't lacking either. Death Blow and Ascending Slash can devastate crowd-controlled enemies, while Valiant Brawl is a high-pressure, low cooldown perfect for filling in rotation gaps. Crossbow is exceptionally powerful with its special ability to land off-hand hits, similar to Dual Daggers.

These off-hand blows deal full damage to enemies but aren't always guaranteed to proc. A simple Mortal Mark - Selfless Diffusion - Wild Barrage combo can dish out exceptionally high damage while keeping one safe.

2) Crossbow/Dual Daggers

If your objective is to put bosses to shame while having no defenses to speak of, this combination should be right up your alley. Between the two weapons, almost every damage type and functionality is covered. This high-octane build is all about using your skills off cooldown so that your off-hand passives can further boost the damage output and have one of the highest single-target bursts in the current meta.

Since both weapons are considered dual-wield, Dual Daggers benefit from Crossbow's Selfless Diffusion skill that boosts off-hand damage and hits. Furthermore, Inject Venom's Lightning Infusion specialization allows all hits to inflict the Thundercloud effect. This can be consumed to amplify Brutal Incision's damage even further.

Additionally, Fatal Stigma and Knife Throwing can reduce the enemy's incoming healing on hits, which can be used in all game modes to break up the flow of combat.

3) Dual Daggers/Longbow

On paper, this build functions as a pure long-ranged bombardment role, but with small changes, Longbow and Dual Daggers can be run as a damage-amplifying support. Longbow skills benefit greatly from Dual Dagger passives and can even take advantage of Camouflage Cloak's critical bonus to land a single devastating Decisive Sniping shot.

Players will likely use Strafing to stack up since Inject Venom's Thundercloud effect requires multiple quick hits. The Murderous Energy passive helps maintain Thundercloud's uptime, while Ankle Strike followed by Brutal Incision finishes the combo. This build is also highly mobile through Shadow Strike, allowing quick repositions based on enemy locations.

The build also brings some team support in the form of Nature's Blessing, granting Health and Mana recovery for the team and weakening debuff cleanse.

4) Longbow/Staff

Another one of Throne and Liberty's true DPS weapon combos, Longbow/Staff functions as a stationary turret, thanks to their passives. This build shines in single-phase encounters where the Tank can hold down a boss for a long time. Passives like Asceticism and Rapidfire Stance offer an overall damage boost in the long run, while Sniper's Sense and Forbidden Sanctuary offer a more direct spike in DPS output.

The rotation is quite simple. You usually start with the High Focus and Infernal Meteor combo to get the burn stacks going. Depending on the burn uptime, you can either go for a Deadly Marker - Decisive Sniping combo or an alternate Serial Fire Bombs - Fireball Barrage combo. Strafing is a good filler skill, while High Focus reduces cooldowns for the next combo.

The build relies on gear but even one lucky Karnix Longbow can take your DPS output to the stratosphere.

5) Staff / Wand

Closing off our list will be the caster-heavy Staff / Wand combo that weakens enemies as much as it damages them. Wand is the de facto support weapon in Throne and Liberty, with its entire kit revolving around curses and heals. This build plays as a hybrid backline class, where Swift Healing and Clay's Salvation can keep everyone topped off, while Chain Lightning and Judgement Lightning keep pressure on.

Your damage rotation relies on curses and debuffs applied on a certain enemy that can be exploited via Curse Explosion. The usual rotation involves casting Touch of Despair, Decaying Touch, Serial Fire Bombs, and Curse Explosion afterward for extra damage per unique curse. The build also boasts excellent AoE capabilities, allowing Tank to save some skill cooldowns.
