5 best Druid builds in Diablo 4 Season 6

Diablo 4 Season 6’s Druids are in a sort of tough spot, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have some incredible builds to take advantage of. No class is really bad in Season 6, but, currently, it’s hard to match up to the billions and trillions of damage that you get from classes like Spiritborn. This will change, with the balance patches that will come out. That said, Druids are still incredibly fun right now, with plenty of tanky, powerful builds to survive even the most challenging content in the game.

While they weren’t at the top of our tier list, I’m still a huge fan of Druids in Diablo 4 Season 6. Companion/ally builds got some love, and I think those are pretty incredible, just in general. We’ve highlighted a few of our favorite options below to consider, for the current season, Season of Hatred.

Which Druid builds are worth playing in Diablo 4 Season 6?

The Druid builds mentioned below are among the very best in Diablo 4 Season 6. While not all of them might fit your playstyle, there should be something for all Druid players to enjoy.

  • Landslide
  • Storm Summoner
  • Shred
  • Lightning Storm
  • Companion (wolves)

1) Landslide

The Landslide build continues to be one of the best Druid builds in Diablo 4 Season 6. It’s a fun build if you like crowd control and tons of damage. It needs solid resource generation that is primarily done with Earth Spike.

Through Landslide and Petrify there’s plenty of damage to go around. You also have Earthen Bulwark, Debilitating Roar, alongside the powerful Poison Creeper companion.

You will definitely want Shard of Verathiel for this build, but this also means we need even more resource generation. It’s a pretty simple build to run and is fun. The only real drawback for me is that it’s not as good in single-target as it is in AOE. The more enemies there are to crush, the better.

2) Storm Summoner

Companion builds got a pretty major buff in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred, making it an ideal pick for Druids right now. This is thanks to abilities like the Stormcrow’s Aspect which makes Ravens deal lightning damage. You also have the Paragon Board Untamed, which grants more damage for Companions, each time you cast a Companion skill (20% base, up to 80%).

However, this is a high-maintenance build, as it requires a lot of specific stuff to make it work. But it has solid damage, is good in the end-game, and shreds bosses specifically. You’ll need gear like Mad Wolf’s Glee, Storm’s Companion, Mjolnic Ryng, and Yen’s Blessing to really make this move.

The best part for me is that the Cataclysm spell doesn’t use Spirit, and we’ve got a ton of extra damage from Wolves and Ravens. You also have the Blood Howl and Cyclone Armor, coupled with Claw. It’s a pretty strong build to go with in Diablo 4 right now.

3) Shred

Shred is a build I want to play on a Druid in Diablo 4, but the constant motion makes me a little nauseous. That said, it’s still a strong build to put into action. It’s so fast, it does strong damage in both single/AOE targeting, but it does take some practice to master. This is mostly due to Wildheart Hunger, making sure you swap between forms at the right times.

You also want Waxing Gibbous to increase the might of your Shred (plus give you Stealth). You’ll also run Maul, Trample, Blood Howl, and Debilitating Roar on this build. Like most shapeshifting builds, it also gets a lot out of Mad Wolf’s Glee, as well as the powerful Mjolnic Ryng. This build just looks exciting, as you shapeshift, dash across the field, and pummel anything that comes your way.

4) Lightning Storm

I like the idea of Lightning Storm a lot, too. It has gotten much stronger now, thanks to buffing Ravens with Stormcrow’s Aspect. However, using builds that require channeling isn't for everyone, and it’s not quite as beefy as some other builds. On top of this, you will require very specific gear such as Tempest Roar, Mad Wolf’s Glee, Unsung Ascetic’s Wraps, and Mjolic Ryng. This makes it a very farm-intensive build to set up.

You’re using Storm Strike, Lightning Storm, Ravens, and Cataclysm primarily, with Poison Creeper and Earthen Bulwark as well. I’m personally not big on channeled abilities like Lightning Storm, but I understand the potential strength it has in Season 6.

5) Companion (Wolves)

While this isn’t a powerful AOE build, Companion/Wolves is absolutely ridiculous. You can summon a truly ludicrous amount of wolves. They deal incredible damage to single-target foes, and it’s a relatively easy build to set up. The only real challenging part is that you have to learn to balance your Shapeshifting buffs—the Wildheart Hunger unique and Quickshift passive.

Thanks to One With Nature, Aspect of the Stampede, and Shepherd’s Aspect, you can get a nice swarm of wolves going. It’s a pretty fun build to use, frankly. You attack with Shred, Maul, and Lacerate. You also have Wolves and Poison Creeper for minions, and Earthen Bulwark for tense situations like bosses/elites. You will finally want to add Lith+Ceh, to summon swarms of Spirit Wolves, which also benefit from your Companion passives.
