When it comes to Diablo 4’s Druids, the Werewolf Tornado Druid is the most fun you’re probably going to have in the game this season. With the absurd amount of Tornado spam, movement speed, and raw damage, you’ll be shapeshifting and stomping the forces of Hell in no time. However, this requires one particular Unique, otherwise the build doesn’t work at all. You’re going to need Tempest Roar before you even do it. So as you’re leveling and grinding through content, keep an eye out.

Thankfully, it appears that Uniques and Uber Uniques are easier to farm in Diablo 4 Season 4, so Werewolf Tornado Druid is going to be easier than ever to start. The only thing that really slows it down is Spirit Generation, which means you need it on your Paragon Board and your equipment. Here’s what you need to know about your build for the endgame.

There’s a good reason Werewolf Tornado Druid is one of the strongest builds to try in Diablo 4 Season 4. You combine the power of a few uniques to constantly gain access to spamming defensive/mobility skills, so you can shapeshift for free. You also want equipment that helps generate Spirit, so spam Tornado, your primary attack ability.

Use Ravens for the bonus Critical Strike Chance, Wolves to become Unstoppable when you need, and Poison Creeper for extra damage, poison, and crowd control. All those allies also help with the Shepherd Affix, which increases your damage for each ally you have while using this Werewolf Tornado Druid build in Diablo 4 Season 4.

To become a Werebear, use Trample, which also becomes Unstoppable, and is your primary mobility skill. Your other Werebear skill is Debilitating Roar, which doubles as your defensive skill.

You also need a few Spirit Boons to help you get moving. Wariness, Iron Feather, Avian Wrath, Bolster, and Masochistic. You will also want the following skills equipped:

  • Wind Shear: 1/5 (Enhanced)
  • Tornado: 5/5 (Enhanced, Raging)
  • Heart of the Wild: 1/3
  • Wild Impulses: 3/3
  • Predatory Instinct: 3/3
  • Iron Fur: 3/3
  • Digitigrade Gait: 3/3
  • Debilitating Roar: 1/5 (Enhanced, Preserving)
  • Ancestral Fortitude: 1/3
  • Vigilance: 3/3
  • Wolves: 1/5
  • Poison Creeper: 1/5
  • Ravens: 1/5 (Enhanced, Brutal)
  • Trample: 1/5 (Enhanced, Savage)
  • Neurotoxin: 1/3
  • Toxic Claws: 1/3
  • Envenom: 3/3
  • Defiance: 3/3
  • Circle of Life: 3/3
  • Natural Disaster: 3/3
  • Quickshift: 3/3
  • Heightened Senses: 3/3
  • Bestial Rampage: 1/1

One of the only difficult things about this Werewolf Tornado Druid build in Diablo 4 Season 4 is keeping up your Spirit resource for Tornado spam. Tempest Roar will help with that. Once you have this unique helmet, it will help you with a Lucky Hit chance to grant 4 Spirit when you use Storm skills.

Earlier in the game, you can also use the Resource Aspect of the Umbral on a Ring/Amulet. This restores Spirit when you Crowd Control an enemy, and since you use Primal Tornado, enemies hit are Slowed, so you constantly recover Spirit. Eventually, you’ll have Lust for Carnage in your Paragon Board, which makes your Critical Werewolf Strikes restore 2 Spirit, meaning stuff like Resource Aspect becomes pointless.

You definitely want as many Tornado ranks as you can possibly get. Once you’re in the 10-13 total ranks, you’ll start mashing enemies. You can find Spirit Per Second on Chests, Helms, and Boots as well, so anytime you can get this on equipment, seek it out. The more resource regeneration you have, the more you can spam that Tornado.

In addition to the above Uniques, there are others that are worth having: Mad Wolf’s Glee and Ring of Starless Skies are always a bonus. This is one of the few builds that can’t use Harlequin’s Crest though, due to needing Tempest Roar more. With this loadout, you should be ready to spam Tornado, and safely shapeshift through waves of enemies, as well as shred right through bosses.
