Bitter/Sweet is a new Heavy Grenade Launcher added to the seasonal loot pool of Destiny 2 Episode Revenant. With the weapon type having support from artifact perks, it is important to take advantage of these buffs as efficiently as possible. This new Arc weapon also has the best perks when it comes to damage and utility, allowing you to maintain a steady damage output in endgame activities.
This article lists the best perks of the new Bitter/Sweet Heavy Grenade Launcher for Destiny 2 PvE and PvP. Note that perks for Heavy Grenade Launchers, especially in PvP, do not matter that much. However, a few things do help, as explained below.
Bitter/Sweet PvE god roll guide in Destiny 2
The following perks are recommended for the Bitter/Sweet Grenade Launcher in PvE:
- Volatile Launch for increased Blast Radius but reduced Velocity.
- Spike Grenades for increased damage on direct hits, alongside increased Stability.
- Envious Arsenal for reloading the weapon from reserves after damaging a target with two other weapons.
- Bait and Switch for increased damage from the weapon after damaging a target with two other weapons.
The perks mentioned in the third and fourth columns are meant to complement each other during the boss DPS phases. Other damage perks can include Explosive Light, Frenzy, or a utility perk such as the Cascade Point. The third column can be rolled with anything, although Envious Arsenal should be prioritized.
Bitter/Sweet PvP god roll guide in Destiny 2
The following perks are recommended for the Bitter/Sweet Grenade Launcher in PvP:
- Linear Compensator for increased Blast Radius, Stability, and Velocity.
- High-velocity rounds for increased projectile speed.
- Unrelenting for health regeneration after defeating a Guardian.
- Killing Tally for increased damage with kills.
The primary aspect of a Heavy Grenade Launcher in PvP is to land all projectiles on a player. Doing so will be enough to shut them down, regardless of the perks available.
How to get Bitter/Sweet in Destiny 2
The Bitter/Sweet Heavy Grenade Launcher is a seasonal weapon from Revenant and isn't craftable. However, seasonal activities, such as Onslaught Salvation and Onslaught Playlist, and the seasonal quests, can drop one of the seven seasonal weapons.
Additionally, you can craft the blue "Tonic of Weaponry" buff for a chance at seasonal weapon drops from any activity.
