Black Desert Mobile debuts hand-to-hand class Askeia

Black Desert Mobile developer Pearl Abyss recently unveiled Askeia, their latest class. Keeping in line with the previous addition, Scholar, Askeia is one for melee, but with a unique talent: the power of her fists. With Askeia, Black Desert Mobile fans can finally live out their hand-to-hand combat fantasies.

In this article, we will briefly go over everything we know about Askeia, the latest class in Black Desert Mobile. This includes her general playstyle, and all Skills that have been unveiled.

Askeia is Black Desert Mobile's first ever hand-to-hand class, which characteristically sets her apart from other melee classes right off the bat. She fits the archetype of a trickster Monk, and those who liked playing Monk in Baldur's Gate 3 will find her playstyle very familiar.

Here's a quick rundown of Askeia's key skills:

• Martial Spirit: Martial Spirit passively gives you incremental skill damage on Forward Grabs. Spending all MP from 100 MP or more also temporarily grants you damage reduction and immunity to grabs.
• Shadow Step: A rapid blink skill, Shadow Step can be used to quickly close the gap or gain distance from enemies as required. Spending more MP lets you use the skill again instantly.
• Deathstrike: Askeia briefly evades backwards to launch a powerful uppercut that launches enemies into the air. This can be combined with other skills to skip the animation and deal instant damage.
• Fist of True Strength: Dashes forward to deliver a powerful blow, stunning the target. Also applies Forward Guard and Rear Super Armor.

On top of these, Askeia also comes with a repertoire of martial arts abilities to grab and throw enemies, deal huge burst damage, maneuver around the battlefield with charge attacks, and more:

• Twisted Collision
• Rage Hammer
• Wolf's Frenzy
• Prime: Binding Knee Strike
• Hurricane Kick
• Adamantine

Askeia has two Succession skills you can spec into: Dragon Punch and Fury Dive. If used well, Askeia's combination of mobility skills and devastating attack moves lets her wreak havoc on the battlefield with increasing effectiveness as time goes on.
