Blizzard Entertainment confirms Vault completion won't change in WoW The War Within Season 2 for Delves

According to a Blizzard Entertainment Community Manager, WoW The War Within Season 2’s Delves won’t require more completions than they do right now. This is terrific news, but not something we knew for certain. Sure, there was no proof that they were going to change, but things are pretty easy right now — perhaps Blizzard could have felt they were too easy to get done.

That said, the discussion for the Delves in WoW The War Within Season 2 originated on Reddit, as many things do. A Redditor, xZerocitex posted something from the 11.1 PTR that allegedly showed you would have to do 12 Delves to complete that section of the Great Vault each week. Thankfully, that’s not going to be the case.

Delves will remain a relatively simple way to get Vault completion in WoW The War Within Season 2

No, WoW The War Within Season 2 Delves will not require players to complete 12 Delves before they fully complete that section of The Great Vault. For those not familiar, The Great Vault rewards players with random, but powerful gear, for completing certain aspects of the game.

For Delves, you need to complete two, four, and then eight Delves to complete that part of the Vault.

Thankfully, the screenshot xZerocidex posted wound up being incorrect. Whether it was a bug, or something else entirely, is unclear. One of the Community Managers for World of Warcraft assured players that Season 2 Delves will remain the same in terms of the amount you need to complete in WoW The War Within.

This came courtesy of Kaivax, who made the following post on the forums, highlighting this very specific fear players had:

“We’d like to make it very clear that we’ve never planned to change the Vault requirements for Delves in Season 2. They will unlock with 2/4/8 Delve completions. We intend to keep the Season 2 Vault requirements the same as they were in Season 1, for all content types. Thank you for the feedback!”

Delves are relatively simple dungeons that can be challenging in their own way, designed for solo players and groups alike. While this number could change sometime in the future, if Delves become too easy of a way to gear up through the Great Vault or something of that nature, that’s not the case right now.

Players can rest assured that if they just want to do a quick, small handful of Delves in WoW The War Within Season 2, that will still be viable. Sure, if you want to get the most out of them, you need keys. Otherwise, it could be seen as kind of a waste of time, as the rewards won’t be worth it for many players.

Either way, it’s a great way to attempt to pick up some upgrades at the end of the week. Delves, in addition to minor rewards, can also unlock a fantastic mount, if you have the time to complete the Glory of the Delver Achievement — the reward being the Ivory Goliathus mount.
