In a recent video, WoW developers revealed Siren Isle, a new end-game hub coming in patch 11.0.7. It will cater to a wide variety of players and promises to hold a wealth of secrets and valuable items. The developers went into detail to highlight what makes this place so special and interesting in a recent video, but fans will have to wait a while before playing it on the live servers.
This is one of the major updates coming to the game, but it was not specifically highlighted on the Roadmap Graphic. Players can test this content starting today, October 31, 2024, on the PTR, but what exactly is WoW’s next zone, Siren Isle?
Siren Isle is to be the next end-game zone for WoW, coming in 11.0.7
Siren Isle is an island in WoW that was once dominated by the Kul Tirans. Located in a particularly stormy portion of Azeroth’s vast ocean, it was used to mine Azerite. But out of nowhere, the entire population of the island vanished. That is just one of the island’s many secrets.
According to the developers, this island will be filled with more secrets and surprises than previous zones they’ve created, which promises to be quite exciting. This includes mounts that have been datamined and forgotten about — some of them even as old as ten years ago like the Stormcrow mount. That’s right, the Stormcrow mount datamined back in patch 5.4.0 is coming — named Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren.
There isn’t one specific crew of enemies that assault this island, either. Every week, there will be a rotating cast of villains attacking: The Vrykul, Naga, and of course, Pirates. Players can also expect gigantic storms to hit the island, which will summon incredibly powerful enemies to tackle.
We also know that players will be able to contribute to three excavation projects on WoW’s Siren Isle. You will use a new currency, Flame-Blessed Iron to contribute to the Shuddering Hollow, The Drain, and The Drowned Lair. Completion of these tasks will temporarily open up these areas to explore.
Another confirmed feature is a powerful new ring to unlock — Cyrce’s Circlet. It promises to be a Best-in-Slot item for the coming patch, and likely the patch beyond it too, to make sure it’s worth grinding out. This ring will have three gem sockets and will offer a wide assortment of powers beyond what a legendary ring normally gives.
However, the most interesting thing for us is that there will be lots of collectibles, such as new mounts and perhaps minions, all over this island. That means lots of secrets to uncover, and as we find them, we’ll uncover them for you as well. WoW’s Siren Isle sounds like it will be a really exciting area to explore when this patch finally goes live.
