Passive Activities in Brighter Shores help you gain XP once you have reached level 20 in particular professions. A Knowledge Point is used to unlock this. Passive Activities are tasks that your character can perform even when you go offline. This feature somewhat reduces the XP grind.

Knowledge Points in Brighter Shores are earned naturally as you advance in your professions — battling, fishing, mining, and more. Every point of XP you gather from your primary activities also contributes to your Knowledge Point progress, which can be monitored through the Professions menu.

Each Knowledge Point earned can be spent in one of three ways:

  1. Unlock a Passive Activity: This is generally the most beneficial choice as it opens up additional ways to earn XP passively.
  2. Boost a Profession’s XP: You can boost the XP of any profession that’s at Level 20 or higher.
  3. Gain a Small Amount of Currency: It’s much less efficient than the other options. Use it only when you are completely broke.

To maximize your level fasters, prioritize unlocking new Passive Activities first, as these can help maintain a steady XP gain. Only spend Knowledge Points on money if absolutely necessary.
