Brighter Shores is an exciting, upcoming MMORPG, but many fans want to know if it will have PvP as an option. This isometric MMORPG was created by Andrew Gower of RuneScape fame, and his team at Fen Research, so there are plenty of fans already before it even officially launches. But the real question is, will this MMO have PVP for fans of that kind of chaotic gameplay?

The good news is that yes, Fen Research's upcoming MMO will have PVP multiplayer, but the bad news is that it won’t be available in Brighter Shores early access. Early access will be missing several features, as they are still being developed. Andrew Gower and his team want to get the game into fan hands as soon as possible, though. Here’s what we know about PvP.

Brighter Shores will have PvP multiplayer at a later date

Andrew Gower, creator of Brighter Shores and known for his work on RuneScape, has officially confirmed PvP multiplayer. However, on both social media and through the game’s official Steam page, it’s been confirmed that PvP is not going to be a part of the early access experience.

The game developer has remarked about this on social media, saying that it’s something he wanted to have in the game since “day 1”, but wants to make sure that it’s perfect. However, PvP will be optional in Brighter Shores, so don’t worry that you’ll be forced into it. There are plenty of other PvP-focused MMOs on the market right now, such as Throne and Liberty.

According to Andrew Gower, the game will be labeled as an early access game, until PvP is complete:

“The plan is the game will be labelled as ‘early access’ until PvP is added. i.e I want to let people start playing without having to wait even longer, but acknowledge its not quite finished at that point. There will NOT be a save reset at the end of early access.”

PvP multiplayer is a high priority for the Brighter Shores team, but it won’t be available at the start of early access next week. Since there won’t be a reset at the end of early access, PvP-minded players can go ahead and start playing, and prepare for competitive play ahead of time.
