Can you change HUD and UI scale in Ark Survival Ascended?

Online action-adventure survival game Ark Survival Ascended has been available on consoles and PC for a while now. The title is a modern-day upgrade of Ark Survival Evolved. Although it is the same game in many aspects, Ark Survival Ascended has a lot of unique features and misses out on certain aspects available in the original.

The changes in setting and accessibility are some of the most notable differences between the two games. In Evolved, you could scale the heads-up display, aka the HUD, to your desire, but can you do the same in Ascended? Unfortunately, there are no HUD and UI scaling options available in Ark Survival Ascended.

Evolved used the custom scaling setting available in the game but, Ascended purely uses the native scale of the monitor. This means Ark Survival Ascended automatically adjusts its HUD scale based on the monitor it is being played on. Currently, there is no secret feature in Ark Survival Ascended that can help you scale your HUD and UI.

If you're on a console, the UI scale option was removed from the game settings. However, the UI scaling can be adjusted by going through the picture settings on your TV. This change was made to align with Windows UI guidelines, which presume that users want the same scaling both in-game and on their desktop.

How to scale HUD and UI in Ark Survival Ascended

As mentioned, there is no official method to scale the HUD to your desire. However, as I said, on consoles, you can try to scale the HUD and UI by tweaking your TV’s picture settings. However, this can affect the game’s graphics and visuals, so proceed with caution.

However, on a PC, you can try installing some already available mods to add an option that lets you customize the size of your in-game HUD or you can try to mod the game yourself if you have the knowledge to do so. However, we don’t recommend modding, because not only does adding mods disable the achievements, but also they have a high chance of breaking the game.
