Destiny 2 A Rising Chorus Act 2 seasonal Quest guide

The second Act of Destiny 2 Episode Echoes brought in the sequel to the "A Rising Chorus" questline. Players must continue their investigation in the different corners of Nessus, involving new activities, collectibles, and enemies. Note that the quest name is the same as the last Act, only with different objectives and rewards.

This article lists every step in Act 2's A Rising Chorus questline. There are 28 steps in total, with each week individually bringing in a few steps. This will be changed in the next Episode, as Revenant is scheduled to bring in all quest steps at the start.

A Rising Chorus Quest step guide in Destiny 2 Episode Echoes Act 2

Here is an overview of steps you must go through to complete the "A Rising Chorus" quest steps in Act 2:

The list above has all the steps within the "A Rising Chorus" quest in Act 2, starting from Week 1. Since time-gated objectives are scheduled to arrive in the following weeks, they will be added here once they become available.

A Rising Chorus Act 2 Week 1

To start the Act 2 quest of "A Rising Chorus," head to Ikora at the Tower and talk to her. Doing so will trigger another step that asks everyone to run a Battleground Delve activity in Episode Echoes. This activity can be launched from the quest menu or the Nessus map.

The activity is simple, where players must follow the objective marker, the written objective on the left-hand side, and then proceed accordingly by defeating enemies and collecting specific objectives. Once you collect the reward at the end, the quest objective will update, asking you to collect seven Code Mutations.

Launch Battlegrounds Delve again from the HELM map instead of Nessus. Complete the first section of this activity, where you must collect nine Fallen data, and then travel deep inside the Well of Echoes.

Here, you will come across a few Code Mutations that will be marked on your screen. The image below should provide a clearer idea of the Code Mutations' location in the Battlegrounds. Collect all seven and return to Failsafe to upgrade her.

Lastly, complete another Battlegrounds, which is called "Conduit." There are three different Battlegrounds scheduled to be released in Act 2. The third Battlegrounds will be released during a later week.

A Rising Chorus Act 2 Week 2

To start the Week 2 quest, head to HELM and speak with Failsafe. She will ask you to "Harvest Radiolite." To do this, you must run the Breach Executable activity through the HELM, and look for collectibles after completing the first stage of the activity. They are marked on your screen with the 3D Triangle shape, a similar icon that matches the usual planetary materials in the open world.

Collect 10 of these Radiolites, or have your party member pick them up to complete the quest stage. Hand over your collection to Failsafe, and then a new quest step will unlock that says "Deploy Nanobots." This must be done in two locations of Nessus, which will be marked on the map.

For the first location, spawn on Artifact's Edge and follow the marker on your screen. This will lead you to the Chamber of Stone. Look for marked objective icons in the area and interact to deploy Nanobots. For the second location, simply head inside The Conflux Lost Sector and deploy Nanobots by interacting with the markers.

Next, launch Battlegrounds Core from the quest tab.

This Battleground follows a similar mechanic to the previous Battlegrounds, alongside a unique take on a boss fight at the end. The boss teleports throughout the arena, with no health gates or phases in between. Keep destroying the Vex confluxes and damage the boss until it's dead.

However, you must move while doing all the tasks, as a red death gate will rotate the arena, forcing you to move with it as well.

For the next step after completing the Battleground, you must search a given coordinate for a specimen. The coordinates are marked on the Nessus map, which is near the Watcher's Grave waypoint. Keep following the objective marker and interact to unlock the next step. After scanning the object, the NES004 mission will unlock.

To complete the "A Rising Chorus Act 2 Week 2" mission, speak with Ikora at the Tower.

A Rising Chorus Act 2 Week 3

To start the final week of the seasonal story in Act 2, head to Failsafe for a chat, followed by the Watcher's Grave checkpoint on Nessus. The objective is to explore a sunken cavern and defeat a Vex for a code. You can also mark the objective on your map. Upon spawning, go straight and immediately take the first hard left.

If you have the objective marked, simply follow the marker until it leads you to the Sunken Cavern.

Once you're in the area, descend until you encounter a wave of Vex enemies. Defeat them and eventually, you will meet a boss Vex Minotaur named "Compelled Minotaur." Defeat the boss and head back into the HELM. "Approach" Saint-14 and wait for a series of dialogue between the NPCs to end. The next step is to complete a mission named "Shell," which can be started from the Nessus map.

It is a fairly simple mission, where you will be put against two "no respawn" encounters against Vex, and a couple of cutscenes. Follow the objective, and then head to the Tower once the mission is done.

Take control of the access point
Clear the Area
Hack the access point to the Nessian Archive
Defeat the Vex
Enter the portal
Approach Saint-14's tomb
Return through the portal
Defeat Agioktis, Archived Mind

Speak to Saint-14 one last time at the Hangar, and you will be done with the Act 2 seasonal storyline of "A Rising Chorus." You can now head to Failsafe at the HELM and focus on the Perfect Paradox Shotgun available now in exchange for Glimmer and Echoes Engram.

The weekly Specimen IDNES006 mission can be picked up outside of the HELM, inside any one of the three available seasonal Echoes Battlegrounds.
