Destiny 2 Star Baker seal is only active for a limited time, specifically, for three weeks, until the Dawning event expires. This is the only period when players can earn the standard version of the seal, gild it, or perhaps do both in one go. Whatever the case may be, the journey to acquiring a seal is a long one in this game, and experience always helps before attempting a feat such as this.
This article lists every task you must do to get the normal version of the Star Baker seal, and then further upgrade it to a gild version for an extra shine.
How to get the Star Baker seal in Destiny 2
The normal version of the Star Baker seal requires players to complete 16 Event Card challenges. Finish the introductory quest of delivering Gjallardoodles to Zavala before starting your journey, as doing so will unlock every challenge within the Event Card.
Here is a list of them:
- Dawn of Dawning: Complete the introductory quest.
- Ice cold combat: Defeat enemies with snowballs anywhere. Lost Sector is preferred, as it contains multiple enemies in a small bunch.
- Amateur Baker: Bake six different cookies in the Oven.
- Bake-stravaganza: Bake any cookie 50 times, or in general, bake 50 cookies in total.
- Shopping Spree: Purchase all 12 upgrades from Eva. This can be done by spending Dawning Spirit. You can refer to our guide on Dawning currencies and how to earn them.
- Adept Baker: Bake 13 different cookies in the Oven.
- Expert Baker: Bake 20 different cookies in the Oven.
- Deep Freeze: Defeat combatants or Guardians with Stasis weapons or abilities. A great source of damage is the Headstone perk on any weapon, versus normal enemies in Lost Sectors.
- Yarn Maker: Defeat combatants or Guardians with Strand. The source can be anything. A Strand Machine Gun should work fine with abilities.
- Thundersnow: Defeat combatants or Guardians with Arc. The source can be anything. Eddy Current or Voltshot should work fine with abilities.
- Snowmelt: Defeat combatants or Guardians with Solar. The source can be anything. Incandescent should work fine with abilities.
- They Call it Snow: Defeat combatants or Guardians with Void. The source can be anything. Destabilizing Rounds should work fine with abilities.
- Vanguard Eternity: Complete Vanguard Ops or Dares of Eternity activities. The former takes less time and is recommended out of the two for faster completion.
- Competitive Spirit: Complete Crucible or Gambit matches. Week 1 of Dawning has Team Scorched active, which is a great mode for turning your brain off, and just pushing through each match for completion.
- Snowstruck: Spawn in snowballs by defeating combatants with weapons or abilities in any activity. Try to do this in Vanguard Ops, as you can complete two objectives at once.
- Star Baker: Complete all the Destiny 2 Dawning challenges mentioned above.
How to gild the Star Baker seal in Destiny 2
Once you have Star Baker's normal seal unlocked, you can now gild the title by completing four additional objectives. They are as follows:
- Frozen Doom: Defeat enemies with Snowballs.
- Reason for the Season: Deliver 100 cookies in total to NPCs.
- Joyous Spirit: Spend 500 Dawning Spirit in total.
- Cheerful Destruction: Defeat enemies using Dawning weapons only.
Avalanche is a great weapon to score kills for the gilded task, as having Incandescent helps against large mob groups.
