Encore Coda is the final version of the newest Exotic mission in Destiny 2. Typically, the new version has added locations for additional hidden chests, alongside the puzzles associated with them. On top of the existing five secret chests in the mission, the Week 3 reset brought in two new chests with Intrinsic upgrades, and many more rewards.

This article lists the final two chests available added within the Encore Coda mission. Similar to the previous weeks, the two secrets can be accessed via Vex Conflux, followed by the first chest in the purple room. Hence, if players are unable to see the Conflux throughout the mission, the reason behind this is that the first chest wasn't activated.

Readers can refer to the Destiny 2 Encore secret chest location guide, and follow the instructions for the first chest. Once done, players are free to follow the rest of the chest locations.

Secret chest location 1

For the first chest, head to the Vex Conflux located after the second Partition terminal, and near the first Piston pillar. Interact and head inside the newly opened portal to your right.

After entering the first portal, head to the left portal, which is the same as Week 1. This will lead you to the Garden area located at the beginning part of the mission. Here, instead of interacting with the Week 1 Conflux, head to the location where you spawn in the mission. You will spot a marker on another Vex Conflux. Interact here to begin a sequence.

Defeat three Vex Minotaur bosses in under a minute and thirty seconds. The trick here is that each Minotaur boss teleports constantly to random locations.

Once all the bosses are defeated, you will get the Intrinsic upgrade for Choir of One, alongside other seasonal gear pieces.

Secret chest location 2:

For the second chest, head to the laboratory room just before the boss arena, and interact with the Conflux to open a portal. Enter the portal, and then you will see a new portal appearing to your right.

Here, follow these steps to crack the puzzle of this room:

Defeat both the Hydras in the different corners of the room to begin the encounter.
Defeating these Hydras will spawn a pool on the floor, which will allow you to spawn additional circular structures helping you to aim (image example below).
Four Connection terminals are present on four different sides of the barrier. These terminals will spawn mirrors at the edge of the barrier.
Occasionally, a special Minotaur will spawn and will drop an Arc charge on death.
Your task is to deposit the Connection Module on the terminal to spawn the mirrors. Then, use the Arc charge to shoot on the mirrors, and direct the ray to destroy a Vex cube inside the barrier.
Repeat this process to destroy all Vex cubes, and bring down the barrier.
Activate each Connection terminal to spawn the mirrors on that side of the barrier. Use the Arc charge to direct its ray from one corner of the room to the two sides of the barrier visible from that corner.
You must do this once per terminal, as mirrors will spawn on the side where you just activated a terminal. Since the barrier is a square, you can spot two sides of the barrier from one corner. Hence, two corners are present to take care of all four sides.

Once the barrier breaks down, loot the chest and interact with the purple lizards to get the NES009 quest. You can now finish the mission to permanently get the NES Specimen quest in your tab.
