Destiny 2 Master Salvation's Edge is currently active for everyone to farm. There are many challenges tied to encounters, alongside Adept weapons, high-stat armor, additional Champion enemies, and many enemy upgrades to mini-bosses. While there aren't any significant changes to the mechanics and bosses, it is always important to keep track of the minor enemy changes before heading in

This article lists all the enemy changes made, from the normal version of Salvation's Edge to the Master difficulty, so you can go in prepared for certain Champions and mini-bosses.

What are the enemy changes in Destiny 2 Salvation's Edge Master difficulty?

The first encounter of Salvation's Edge introduces the recurring mechanic of the Raid, where players must divide into teams, defeat a lot of enemy groups, and pass on buffs from one plate to another across different rooms.

Readers can refer to this full guide of the Destiny 2 Substratum encounter before going into the Master difficulty.

Here is a list of changes made to the encounter in terms of enemies and any possible confusion you may face as a result:

  • Enemies consume more damage due to the Master difficulty.
  • Vex Hobgoblins are mini-bosses with a yellow health bar
  • Vex Supplicant Harpies have Arc shields
  • Vex Hydra in each room spawn as mini-bosses with a yellow health bar

  • Inside, Hive Knights are protected with an Arc shield
  • Inside, Ogres are Unstoppable Champions
  • Outside, Hive Knights are protected with an Arc shield as well

5) The Witness boss fight

The final fight of the Raid consists of a few surprises in enemy density and mob types. Here is a list of all changes made to the Witness boss encounter in Salvation's Edge Master:

  • Scorn Chieftains with Void shields on two platforms are mini-bosses with yellow health bar
  • The two mini-boss Subjugators that spawn at the back of two platforms are now bosses. Meaning, any debuffs such as suspend or freeze will not work on them

Completing an encounter challenge in Destiny 2 Salvation's Edge Master will guarantee an Adept weapon drop. Note that each Adept weapon is capable of having up to three perks in the last two columns each.
