The fourth encounter challenge for Master Salvation's Edge is active with the fourth weekly reset of Destiny 2 Episode Echoes. Bungie introduced the Master mode of its new Raid not too long ago, alongside challenges associated with every encounter for a progression towards the Raid seal and a guaranteed Adept weapon.

With the July 16, 2024 reset, the community got to crack the challenge tied with the game's toughest ever Raid encounter, Verity. The name of the challenge is Varied Geometry, and as many of the readers must have guessed, it has everything to do with the three shapes in the Verity encounter.

Disclaimer: Any mechanic related to this encounter will not be mentioned below. Readers are recommended to get accustomed to the mechanic first and then attempt the challenge.

How to complete the Varied Geometry challenge in Destiny 2 Salvation's Edge

The Varied Geometry challenge in Destiny 2 Salvation's Edge requires every player that is inside to form a different final shape in the second rotation. This means that if any player in the inside room creates the same final shape in all three rotations, the challenge will fail.

For this challenge, the normal final shape can be made in the first and third rotations only. For the second rotation, the shape has to differ.

For example, let us take you, the reader, as someone who has been teleported to an inside room. Your shape is a Triangle. This means your final shape should be made with a Square and a Circle, forming a Cylinder. This is the usual task and should be done in the first and third rotation of the encounter.

For the second rotation, your job is to pick two Circles and form a Sphere as a final shape. Similarly, the player with a Circle should pick up two Squares to form a Cube, and the one with a Square should form a Pyramid with two Triangles.

Typically, players outside the rooms should form a matching shape on the respective Guardian's statue, so communication is also key here. Hence, in the second phase, if you are holding a Triangle and going for a Sphere as the final shape, always call that out to the players outside who are forming the shapes on the statues. This goes for all three players.

Tips to complete the Varied Geometry challenge easily in Destiny 2

The term "Varied Geometry" refers to the different final shapes that players in the inside rooms are making in the second phase. The easiest way to keep track of the shapes, including which ones should be deposited to which statue, is to keep an eye on the initial callout of the shape locations.

For example, a callout like C-S-T means that Circle-Square-Triangle is in the inside rooms from left to right. Hence, the deposit will happen by taking the leftmost shape, which is Square in this case, and then placing it on the right. Now, the order should be S-T-C. More specifically, it should be SS-TT-CC, as all inside players must deposit two same shapes to create a perfect final shape.

Here, you are giving two Squares to the Circle player for a Cube, two Triangles to the Square player for a Pyramid, and two Circles to the Triangle player for a Sphere.

Weapons can be Xenophage to one-shot the Knights, a Sidearm for the Unstoppable Champions, and a lot of add-clearing potential.
