The Solstice Forge is one of the new additions to Destiny 2's annual event. Following the radio silence from Bungie over the past few days, any official information regarding Solstice remained unknown until the recent weekly reset. Hence, players will be confused by several updates the game has to offer.

The community is currently celebrating summer with the brand-new annual Solstice event. Bungie seems to have made a few changes to the bounty system and currencies while keeping the event's core system intact. The primary objective of Solstice is to get higher-tier glowing armor pieces, alongside time-limited weapons.

This article will guide you through the new Forge system in Solstice 2024.

How does Forge work in Destiny 2 Solstice?

Forge is given to the players upon following the introductory quest "Celebrating Solstice." Upon following more steps of the same quest, you will eventually unlock the Forge's full potential. The entirety of the Forge can be accessed from the Quest tab.

Here is a list of all the basics you must keep in mind while using the Solstice Forge:

  • Solstice Forge is a place where you can "forge" all five of your Guardian's armor pieces.
  • Solstice Forge has three elements for each armor: Refreshing bounty types, the bounties, and the Ingot quest to forge the armor piece.
  • Refreshing bounties require Silver Leaves. Bounties grant Alloy of an armor piece. An Ingot quest requires 100 of the Alloy.
  • This applies to all five pieces.

Silver Leaves can be collected by completing the "Bonfire Bash" activity via the Tower map. As mentioned, picking up an Ingot mission for an armor piece will take you 100 Alloys behind. Hence, to collect Alloys quickly, acquaint yourself with the bounty tiers inside the Solstice Forge.

You will find three tiers of bounties, including white, green, and golden. The white bounties grant +5 Alloy, while the green bounties grant +15, and the golden ones grant +50. Hence, completing golden bounties twice will be enough to get one Ingot mission. If you do not have a golden bounty, use your Silver Leaves to refresh.

All bounties in Solstice Forge are daily bounties, allowing players to gather as many Alloys as possible simultaneously. Note that completing bounties for Helmet Alloy will not count towards progression for any other armor piece. You must collect 100 Alloys for each armor piece individually.
