The Vesper's Host Dungeon is the latest entry for Destiny 2 endgame, alongside several new Pinnacle rewards. Besides new weapons and armor pieces, players have fresh encounters to finish, all presenting some decent challenges amidst the Revenant's seasonal loop.
Similar to any Dungeon, Vesper's Host comes with multiple encounters. This article lists the basics of one that can be found between the first encounter and the first boss fight. Essentially, it can be classified as a mini-encounter between two major ones. However, before attempting it, players are recommended to become accustomed to how the Scanner and Operator work.

How to complete the "five bombs" encounter in Destiny 2 Vesper's Host
Basic mechanics
Here is a list of everything you should do in the Destiny 2 "five bombs" encounter in order:
- The main objective is to deposit five bombs in five different boxes numbered from 1 to 5. Typically, the order for depositing the bombs should be 1 to 5.
- Look for a "currency" on the left side of your screen called "Power Reserves." One player can hold four at a time.
- Power Reserves will be reduced by one charge if a player opens a door. However, that charge can be gained back after closing the same door. Hence, it is good practice to close any doors that have been opened.
- Throughout the arena, a huge Servitor boss will keep pursuing the players, shooting and tethering them randomly. The boss shoots out Void projectiles, so having a Void Resistance and a Concussive Dampener mod helps.
- The tether attack is called "Integration," which has a timer. Reaching "0" on the timer means death. To save yourself, quickly run away from the boss and hide behind a structure to become out of sight.
- To get a bomb, defeat hoards of Fallen mobs, and a Fallen Captain will drop a Nuclear orb.
- Collect five of these bombs from five different locations.
- Carry these bombs to five different boxes in five different rooms, starting from 1 all the way to 5.
- Similar to the first encounter, carrying a Nuclear orb for a long time will stack a debuff on the carrier, which will eventually kill them. Hence, the carrier can either pass the orb to another player or drop it on the ground to reset the stacks.
- After depositing the final bomb in the fifth box, take the first left and go past the boss. Eventually, you will find an entrance on the floor to go through.
Builds
The only build necessary here is something that can help you stay alive. Hence, Song of Flames for Warlocks, alongside mods like Void Resistance and Concussive Dampener, should work. The boss here is invulnerable, so there's no point in taking anything for burst damage.
Machine Guns for add-clearing should be fine here.
