Midwinter Blight is back in Diablo 4, with special treats for both the Eternal and Seasonal servers. Available for a limited time, this event offers exp boosts and limited-time potions. Additionally, it can see gamers run into the Red-Cloaked Horror itself.
Unfortunately, this event won't stick around for as long as it did in the past, but it’s still worth taking a peek at, especially if you’ve been dying to try a class you haven’t played before.
Considering all the classes are about to receive buffs, including Spiritborn, the Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight is a great time to come back to the game and see what you’ve missed. Here’s what this limited-time event will offer.
Diablo 4’s Midwinter Blight returns, bringing fun to both Eternal and Seasonal servers
Diablo 4’s Midwinter Blight will be available from November 19 to December 3, 2024, though some of the features won’t be available as long. One of the biggest features players can access is the Spiritborn class, even if they haven’t picked up Vessel of Hatred yet. This class will be accessible without the expansion until December 2, 2024.
Additionally, players can make a character on the Eternal Realm (non-Seasonal server) and gain access to a major boost — you can take a level 1 character and boost them immediately to level 50. This will let you choose from three powerful builds for that class and grant you a full set of Legendary items as well as a completed skill tree to complement the build.
Alongside that, all Altars of Lilith will be unlocked, and you'll get:
- 1M gold
- 1,000 Murmuring Obols
- 1 Scroll of Amnesia
- Host of Crafting Materials
To boost your unit, head to Kyovashad and interact with the Fated Reliquary. If your character is already at level 50, you'll get all the other benefits. It's worth noting the boost and bonuses can only be obtained once — unless you own Vessel of Hatred; those with the expansion can boost two characters.
It’s not all peace and safety during Midwinter Blight in Diablo 4, though. This time, the Red-Cloaked Horror has a chance to spawn in Helltide instead of Hellborne. They act similar to the Butcher, and defeating them will grant you increased rewards: Cinders, Burning Aether, and more.
Beating the Red-Cloaked Horror during Midwinter Blight also guarantees a Gideon’s Brew drop. Using this legendary elixir grants you increased damage by 20%, makes enemies drop more Herbs and Crafting Materials, and gives you 15% more Experience.
While Gideon’s Brew can drop from Tortured Gifts during this event, the Red-Cloaked Horror is guaranteed to drop the item. There’s one more gift for players during Diablo 4’s Midwinter Blight, though it won’t be around till December 3.
Mother’s Blessing is back and will be available from November 19 through November 26. As such, all players will receive increased experience and gold at a multiplied rate. This bonus stacks with Elixirs and the Urn of Aggression, so you can grind up characters fast.
