Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR schedule, how to join, and more

Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR

Diablo 4 Season 5 will have a limited-time Public Test Realm (PTR) to help test and receive feedback on the upcoming “The Eyes of the Enemy” season. Loot Reborn went over incredibly well, and it’ll be important for Blizzard to keep the momentum going with another well-performing season. Through this PTR, players will be able to tackle some of the game's content, experience the changes, and most importantly, offer feedback.

This PTR for Diablo 4 Season 5 will only be available for a limited time—between June 25 and July 2, 2024—and sadly, console players cannot take part. This test will be for PC players only. The purpose is to find bugs and adjust the game before the season’s launch so that it's as fun of an experience as possible. Fans have access to the current PTR patch notes, but feedback will surely change the experience.

The Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR will begin on June 25, 2024, and end on July 2, 2024, for players with a BattleNet account on PC. While there’s no officially confirmed start or end time, our guess is that it will start around 10 am PDT, or around that time. Once we have an official start for the PTR, we’ll update this accordingly.

Players on PC will be able to join the PTR, and Blizzard confirmed that players’ characters have already been copied to the Test Realms, though they might be out of date. Players will also be able to instantly boost their characters to Level 100 since many of the updates and changes are focused on the endgame. After boosting to 100, players will have access to the following:

  • All New Legendaries.
  • One new Unique for each Class.
  • 100 million gold.
  • 1,000 Obols.
  • Two random sets of Ancestral gear at item power 920.
  • Upgraded Potions.
  • Fully unlocked Paragon Glyphs.
  • Up to 10 Tempering Manuals (class specific).
  • Base amount of all consumable materials.
  • Does not include materials for resources specifically earned for Masterworking, Scattered Prisms, and Resplendent Sparks.
  • Materials to enter the Pit and Nightmare Dungeons are granted.
  • Completed Class system mechanics (e.g., enchantments for Sorceress).
  • Note: This boost can be repeated with new characters on the PTR, and you can trade between characters as needed.
  • Fog of War will be completely cleared.

The developers also highlighted that some things have been hidden/removed, so they can focus on testing specific things during the D4 PTR. There will also be a Feedback Tool to use, as well as a PTR forum to use for players.

Thankfully, anyone in the North American, European, Korean, Japanese, South American, and Australian regions can take part in this on PC. Blizzard Entertainment also ensured that PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate users could take part, too. They will access the PTR through the Battle.net client in the Xbox App, and then use Battle Net to join the PTR proper.

If you haven’t joined a Test Server on BattleNet before, here’s how you can take part in the Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR:

  • Launch the Battle.net app, and choose Diablo 4 from the list.
  • Above the Play button, click the selector, and look for Public Test Realm in the drop-down menu.
  • Click Install. When it’s finished, this button will change to Play.
  • Click Play to log in, and choose one of the Test Servers.
  • Create a new Test Character - choosing a Seasonal Character will let you test the Season 5 changes.
  • Enter the game.

As this is a testing phase, there will no doubt be bugs or issues - it will be important to relay these to Blizzard, to ensure the launch of the next season is as smooth as possible. This testing period will run from June 25 until July 2, 2024.
