Diablo 4 Season 6 saw the introduction of a new concept known as the Realmwalker. A powerful foe, they periodically spawn on the map and are invulnerable for a good amount of their lifetime. If you want to know how to easily deal with these monstrosities and the Seething Portals they create, we’re here to help you do just that.
While you don’t necessarily have to group up to defeat Realmwalkers, doing so will make things easier. It’s likely that there will be players fighting one anyway, so the odds of having help are decent.
The Realmwalker fight is one of the new features you can tackle once you’ve started Season 6 of Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred. While it might be annoying at first, it’s worth fighting these to unlock powerful Elixirs like the Seething Opals.
How to defeat the Realmwalker in Diablo 4 Season 6
To find a Realmwalker event in Diablo 4 Season 6, look for the green icon on your map. It’s the only brilliant green icon with a demon face on it. However, when you get to the location, the Realmwalker may have already moved. It’s a slow-moving titanic monster, so you may have to look around for a bit.
Once you’re in the area and nearby, you’ll see a skull on the map to indicate where the Realmwalker currently is. The first phase of the fight requires you to defeat its allies while near it. After enough allies have been defeated, you’ll need to defeat three Elites. You’ll do this three times in total to break the Realmwalker's immunity.
The next step is to defeat the Pylons that the boss summons, and now you can actually target the Realmwalker in Diablo 4. Just unload with your whole kit and smash the boss down. It won’t take much. No matter what build you’re playing, you should have no issues defeating it. Once it's down, a Seething Portal opens.
What are Seething Portals in Diablo 4 Season 6
Seething Portals are mini-dungeons that come as a result of the Realmwalker in Diablo 4. You’ll clear these until you reach the Realm Gate. This will then ask you to offer something up as a sacrifice. Depending on what you do, it will change the Seething Opals you get. Seething Opals are Elixirs that increase your seasonal reputation gain, as well as give you a chance at unlocking specific items when enemies are defeated:
- Gold: Iron Chunks x1
- Equipment: Murmuring Obols x25
- Herbs/Crafting Materials: Murmuring Obols x5
Within the Seething Realm that awaits, you will also find Seething Ruptures, which are red, fiery portals. These are side areas that often have powerful Elites and sometimes treasure in them. It’s worth diving in real fast before returning to the rest of the dungeon.
The end of the mini-dungeon will have a chest, though it will sometimes be trapped, and require you to fight through a series of Elites. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, and once you’ve successfully done that, you can claim your Seething Opals and other treasures.
