The next major WoW update is patch 11.0.7 and that will take us to the new end-game zone of Siren Isle. There’s quite a bit of content to explore coming our way, from a return of fan-favorite game modes, new customization options, and of course, plenty of Timewalking opportunities. While we don’t know when this update will hit right now, we can say for certain that it will be on the PTR servers later today (October 31, 2024).
Whether you’re excited about the return of Plunderstorm or want to farm mounts that have been teased for over a decade, there’s something for you in WoW patch 11.0.7. Here’s everything we know so far. Please note that other content could be revealed at a later date or be changed from what we know at this time.
All currently known features coming to WoW in patch 11.0.7
The main playground of WoW patch 11.07 will be Siren Isle—a former mining hub of the Kul Tiran. This is where they farmed Azerite during the Fourth War, but for reasons unknown, everyone has completely disappeared from this location. Players will be able to farm up a new currency—Flame-Blessed Iron—to use in Mining Excavation and much more.
If you’re a fan of mounts, pets, equipment or cosmetics, you can use this Flame-Blessed Iron to trade for all of those and more. It will also be key to improving the power of your new legendary ring, Cyrce’s Circlet, when you’ve unlocked it. One noteworthy mount that will be unlockable starting in patch 11.0.7 is the Stormcrow mount Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren. This is the mount players got teased with back in Warlords of Draenor!
For a limited time, Plunderstorm will also be back sometime in 2025 as part of this patch. The Arathi Highlands will once again be a battleground, and there will be new and returning cosmetics to pick up in this game mode. Don’t miss out on the Plunderstorm!
The main story of The War Within will continue as well. The epilogue questline will begin with WoW patch 11.0.7, where the Kirin Tor will have to face the consequences of Dalaran’s fall, and many of their own past mistakes.
What’s next for the people of Dalaran? We’ll just have to wait and see. We’ll also get a prologue for the 11.1 story, with a familiar face hiding in the darkness. For players looking for something a little more concrete, the Turbulent Timeways event is returning.
Those who complete it can unlock a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee Skyriding mount. Hopefully, this bee will be a much easier grind than the Reins of the Soaring Meaderbee! Finally, for those fans of RP and lore, Humans and Kul Tirans will gain access to the Arathi ear customizations at the Barber Shop. Patch 11.0.7 of WoW promises to be a very interesting one, that’s for sure.
