The Black Desert Online Mountain of Eternal Winter expansion finally arrived on consoles on August 8, 2024. The winter-themed expansion pack was first released on PC two years ago and brought a plethora of content for players to explore. Black Desert Online's Xbox and PlayStation users can now get their hands on the new quests, bosses, monsters, hunting grounds, and rewards in the new region.

What to expect from Black Desert Online Mountain of Eternal Winter expansion

As mentioned, console players can now enjoy the Black Desert Online Mountain of Eternal Winter expansion. The new region is characterized by powerful winter storms and a chilling environment that is inhabited by powerful monsters, including the Dreadwinter Guardian, Erebjork.

There are four new monster zones in the Mountain of Eternal Winter: Murrowak's Labyrinth, Jade Starlight Forest, Winter Tree Fossils, and Erethea's Limbo. These are home to dangerous monsters that drop materials (Flame of Frost) needed to craft the new item, Labreska's Helmet. This gear is equivalent in status to the Fallen God's Armor.

A new mechanic has also been introduced in the region where prolonged exposure to its harsh environment will inflict Frostbite, a health-draining condition that gets worse as you reach higher peaks. The only ways to counter this are by warming up and drinking Citron Tea and Well-brewed Mesima Tea - two new drinks that can be found in the Mountain of Eternal Winter.

The Drakania class also came with the Eternal Winter expansion when it was first released on PC. However, this class has existed on the consoles since 2022.
