Fallout 76 Skyline Valley: Where to find Vault 63

Vault 63 in Fallout 76 was previously inaccessible, but players can now enter the location as part of the major Skyline Valley update. The update introduced an entirely new region of the same name, along with a plethora of questlines, bosses, and events. Vault 63 is a key location that serves as a quest hub for the main questline of the Skyline Valley region.

How to find and enter Vault 63 in Fallout 76

The entrance to Vault 63 in Fallout 76 is located beneath Dark Hollow Manor in Shenandoah National Park. Although another entrance to the vault could be found in the Ash Heap region even before the launch of the Skyline Valley update, it was inaccessible and served only as a teaser for this new region.

To access Vault 63 in Fallout 76, you must start the main quest for the Skyline Valley update called "An Unlikely Invitation." It can be started after you listen to the Vault-Tec broadcast on your Pip-Boy. This quest will lead you to various locations, the first of which will be the crash site of a Vault door north of Sutton. There, you will speak to Alyssa to get more details on Vault 63.

The quest will then lead you to the previously mentioned Vault 63 entrance in the Ash Heap region. The once-sealed vault entrance is now breached.

However, you won't be able to enter the vault just yet. This entrance doesn't lead directly to the vault itself but to a railway station hub that once allowed vault dwellers to travel to the actual vault. Unfortunately, this transportation system is no longer functional.

As you enter this location, you'll start the subsequent quest, "Into Lands Unknown." Without going into major spoilers, this quest will lead you to the Skyline Valley region and ultimately end at Dark Hollow Manor. As you approach the manor, the quest will end, and the following "The Calm Before" quest will begin, which will finally lead you to Vault 63 in Fallout 76.
