Mounts in Palworld are your primary method of traveling across the game's massive open world. Unlike most other games, Palword doesn't offer any vehicles to use as transport. Instead, you must mount the Pals that you catch and ride them to get from one point to another.
The game features a variety of Pals you can mount, each with its specific traveling method and speed. In this tier list, we have ranked the fastest Pals you can get in Palworld.
Disclaimer: The Pals in this list are ranked based on their speed in their respective traversal method, e.g., flying, swimming, ground, or gliding. We are still exploring the Feybreak update, so this list doesn’t contain the Pals added in the new update.
Tier list for the fastest Pals in Palworld
S tier
The S tier represents the pinnacle of speed and versatility in Palworld, featuring the fastest and most effective mounts. Jetragon dominates this tier as the fastest flying mount with a speed of 3300.

For advanced players, Paladius and Necromus provide incredible mobility with their unique jump skills — Necromus' double jump and Paladius' triple jump make them excellent for navigating complex terrains.
Meanwhile, the water traversal method is ruled by Azurobe with both exceptional speed and powerful Dragon Cannons, making it invaluable for aquatic exploration and combat. Galeclaw and Celaray top the glider options. Celaray is more accessible early in the game, while Galeclaw shines later with higher speed.
A tier
In the A tier, we have mounts that are not as fast as the S tier but are quite effective alternatives. Faleris, Frostallion, and Frostallion Noct offer reliable aerial traversal with respectable speeds ranging from 1400 to 1500, perfect for players who have progressed beyond the early game but haven't yet reached endgame content.
On the ground, Eikthyrdeer stands out with its skills, which can increase speed while doing damage to enemies. For those who advance further, Eikthyrdeer Terra is a great choice, with its enhanced speed and a double jump. When it comes to swimmers, Surfent is the best one in this tier.
B tier
The B tier comprises mounts like Beakon, Ragnahawk, and Shadowbeak, which are great for aerial traversal but lack the sheer speed of higher-tier options. Surfent remains a standout in this tier for water-based traversal, while land-focused Pals such as Melpaca and Relaxaurus offer moderate utility for ground exploration.
C tier
C-tier mounts are more common and often used in the early game for basic exploration. Examples include Helzephyr, Suzaku, and Quivern, which provide decent mobility but are quickly outpaced by higher-tier options. On land, mounts like Dinossum and Mossanda offer limited speed but are helpful for beginners.

D tier
Finally, the D tier includes mounts like Nitewing, Vanwyrm, and their variants, which are ideal for early-game players unlocking their first flying saddles. While these mounts lack the speed of their higher-tier counterparts, they serve as stepping stones to more advanced Pals.
Notably, Nitewing remains a dependable option with abilities like Tornado Attack and Wind Cutter, while Vanwyrm adds Fire and Dark elemental capabilities.
